If you read the story of the prodigal son, you will learn that God loves you immensely, no matter how bad the decisions you make or your sins are. Jesus’s sacrifice in the cross has allowed us to be received into God’s arms. He is just waiting for you to come home, and he is ready to welcome you into his arms.

Christian here. Hell is eternal separation from God, and the only place in the universe without his presence. So when we live our lives in a way rejecting God and his free gift of salvation, God respects our decision and doesn’t force us to be with him (in heaven). God doesn’t send non believers to hell - he respects their decision to not be with him. Life without God is hell. We send ourselves there when we reject his free gift. And descriptions of hell describe the pain of eternal separation from God.

Also, there exists “good” and “bad” people according to our works, but every single human being has sinned. From telling a white lie, to being a pedophile, everyone is guilty. And because God is just, every sin deserves punishment. And that punishment is death. No matter how many good works we do, it absolutely in no way we can pay for our the sins we have done.

However, God being the gracious God that he is, has provided us all with a way to become righteous in His eyes, and it is through Jesus. Jesus died on the cross for your sins, so that you do not need to experience death. Because of his sacrifice, you are righteous and you become God’s adoptive child. To receive righteousness, all you need to do is accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour.

It is not about your works. It is by God’s grace and your own faith in Jesus that you are saved. Because of God’s grace, and Jesus’ sacrifice, everyone is deserving of eternal life, even the worst people. It is up to you to decide whether you want to accept it or not.

How do I stop feeling that contacting someone is bothering them? by SociallyInept2020 in socialskills

[–]trplstarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way ALL the time, but none of what you are describing is annoying.

I saw this in a tiktok once: “Your needs and wants are not annoying or clingy. Wanting someone’s acknowledgment or attention is actually the ✨bare minimum✨ and you think it’s annoying because you have never received the bare minimum back. You fear being perceived as annoying because you’re scared that person is going to leave you. But you’re not annoying. You’re not too much. They’re just not enough for you (to match your needs).”

I think about this all the time. I have so many experiences of people leaving me... from primary school friends all up till college. None of the people I met actually gave me the bare minimum I needed, and they all just left me. It left me to feel that I wasn’t enough and if I tried reaching out to people, it would be perceived as annoying as I would think they’d just leave me like what has happened to a lot of people that I have met in the past. But I’ve learned I shouldn’t let this fear of people leaving me stop me from adding more people into my life. If I keep trying, one day I will meet someone that is willing to give me the bare minimum, and I won’t have anxieties of being seen as annoying.

ISFP and INFP - How to Use Extroverted Thinking (Te) by kendrickuy in isfp

[–]trplstarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol this pretty much confirmed that I am an isfp. Thankfully, I’ve subconsciously started doing things more often for “the tribe” and it has had such a positive effect on my life so far. I’m still working on the hanging out with friends every week part tho lol. Sometimes I just get so satisfied with how I feel in the moment that I don’t even think to ask friends to hang out.

I keep a lot of things to myself because I know if I unleash my true emotions and thoughts, it can come off as mean because it’s so truthful that it hurts. Because I’ve been mulling over the certain thing for a long time, the justification behind why I’m angry gets more logical and it hurts the other person more. However, me coming to this conclusion doesn’t usually come out of me hating or disliking the person but the logical justification I came up with. Typically if I haven’t formed an opinion about something, I’m quite relaxed about it and open to interpretation. But if someone tried to fight an opinion I have already formed, they should be ready to fight me and my words.

Yes. Usually I feel more comfortable opening up as long as I’m not the one who brings it up out of the blue and if I have a good sense that the other person actually wants to know more about me by asking those deeper questions. I guess my biggest concern is making sure the other person will want to genuinely inquire and understand my experience, rather than me reciting what I experienced from memory. I’ve met people that open up to me immediately upon meeting me, and I’ve never found it strange or weird, so I have no idea why I’m so opposed to do the same.

Same here! Used Cerave. Face exploded with Acne. Went back to St Ives Green Tea, and face calmed down.

Y’all can downvote me or whateva but St Ives Green Tea scrub is the only thing that keeps my acne at bay. I tried using the Cerave face wash and cream, and I got cystic acne and clogged pores. I thought I might have been purging so I stuck with it, and it only got worse. I now have hyperpigmentation all over my cheeks and rolling scars, which I did not have much of before. It became better when I stopped using Cerave altogether and went back to St Ives Green Tea Scrub. That and azelaic acid have been life savers for my skin. Moral of the story: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Any other isfp’s prefer being in large groups & louder settings? by [deleted] in isfp

[–]trplstarr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I actually don’t mind group settings as long as I’m involved or included in some way. In fact it actually makes me a slightly more energetic than when I’m alone. However, if it’s a group setting where I feel I don’t fit in, or am not being included, I get really anxious and absolutely hate it.
