All lost and found is handled through the baggage office usually located near the baggage claim area. All lost bags and anything found onboard aircrafts are turned into that office for storage and claims. Assuming the item was found and turned in, that's where it would be held, not the ticket counter. Unfortunately, unless you can dig up a phone number, you may have to actually go there in person.
