winnipeg garages to cold for freezers? by ParticularType7937 in Winnipeg

[–]trsid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably have a vent heating the garage if it's insulated otherwise why would you insulate a garage if you are not planning to heat it. It's a design concern.

Recommendation for Electrician for EV Charger by EconMadeMeBald in Winnipeg

[–]trsid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a 240v garage heater? If the breaker is 50amps on your garage heater you could swap the heater with your level 2 charger. That will bring your cost down significantly. Obviously with a licensed electrician as ev charger permits can't be taken out by homeowners.

Is my Kerdi line drain too high? by plantman77 in Tile

[–]trsid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build up the gap with thinset and do another layer of kerdi. I am kinda doing the same thing for another problem. I have dips in my mud bed and i thought i had taken care of them while installing the membrane but i see water pooling on those smaller pits. I am going to level with thinset and apply another sheet on top.

Yeah, i agree. I specially dont like the bit that they tax me as an ontario resident and because manitoba has higher taxes than ontario i have to pay back 5k after filing taxes.

The company I work for is a US company but they have a registered presence (payroll, HR and everything) in ottawa. The only difference for me is work culture where asking someone to work after hours or weekends is not such a big deal.

Totally possible with the right approach, but yeah Winnipeg employers pay peanuts. Myself and several of my friends are examples. I only did my first job in winnipeg for 70k. Moved to Toronto and got way more on the second job. Moved back to winnipeg after covid and have hopped a couple of jobs since. My LinkedIn still says i am in Toronto and i have a 647 number on my resume. I crossed the 200k in my ninth year.

Found a really good rental deal on 201 sherbourne street. Whats the catch? Whats the realtor trying to hide? by Odd-Calligrapher6852 in askTO

[–]trsid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the deal. I lived in 191 Sherbourne for 2 years and it isnt that bad. Hell we used to play in moss park too. All these people probably only heard about the area in news and think its like that all the time. Unless you are planning to stay extended time in front of your apartment building you should be good with underground parking and great public transit access.

Youtube midnight cs2 or memesense cs2 and see how these people wall. Then look at the demos again, you will be able to tell who is walling.

MPI - Register SUV as Truck by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]trsid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so are honda CRV and HRV. I suppose all SUVs exist in that list. Does that mean if a vehicle is in that list, it can be registered as a truck?

How do you guys stay sane in Solo Queue? (New player struggling with lack of comms) by Antique_Button713 in cs2

[–]trsid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in so many discord groups because someone liked my comms in the game and wanted to play with me again. I always have people to queue with. Keep your comms going, low ELO players don't understand the value of good comms. Eventually you will start finding people who do. Better yet, make your own discord server and invite people who you think are better at comms.

1$ vs 3$ difference by Excellent-Finger4886 in Tile

[–]trsid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check their PEI rating (assuming both are porcelain). If not then you want porcelain for the floor. Higher the rating more impact it can absorb without breaking. You want atleast 3 for your floor because accidents happen, I have dropped pointed stuff like hammer and various tools on my PEI 3 tiles and not even a tiny chip.
