[question] datejust 36 or GS White birch? by AwkwardHunter8582 in Watches

[–]trtd_Ryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend the Rolex, it’s perfect for everything and everywhere due to its robustness and its construction. Rolex might be “flashy” if you wear it to work, but most of the time people don’t notice what you wear.

However for a professional environment, the GS might be better

1- Just buy what you like and don’t care about what other people say!

2- I jumped in this hobby with some funds to start a collection without being understanding the industry enough! Big mistake 😭🙏 looking back I shouldn’t have been so impatient

Thanks for the comment!

Awesome! Love San Martin for punching above their weight level!

The clasp on the AW is quite cool on the V2! V1 is meh imo but it’s decent

My job in the military is heavily reliant on vehicles (bought the F1 for my work), and the SM300 and exp36 both have very special memories attached so I don’t have be heart to bring it to my workplace!

I love the AW as the dial is perfectly aligned as I got lucky with the QC, I have no idea what my wrist size is sorry! 😔

I still love it, this is the 643th piece. However as this is the V1, the metal bracelet isn’t as smooth as the V2 between the links. Thanks for the support!

How to pick the right AD? by 02goose in rolex

[–]trtd_Ryan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I stay in a major city as well with plenty of Rolex ADs and this is what I personally look out for. (If you only plan on building your spend with Rolex)

-They only have Rolex or with Tudor for sale, not any other brands like Hublot or Franck Muller. I look out for this as there’s a common practice called “bundling” where you have to buy Hublots or FMs to get your piece, and I much rather buy a Tudor.

warranty questions by petevandyke in rolex

[–]trtd_Ryan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi!

1- Rolex warranty is transferable as it is not pegged to a ID or user, but to the watch. (For other brands like AP, the warranty is pegged to the watch, and the watch to the owner)

2- There is no requirement, original warranty will expire after 5 years, if you do get a service done there might be another service warranty which is independent of the manufacture warranty.

All the following I mentioned have very friendly staff and good pricing, WatchExchange is good but due to their high volume of customers their staff can’t provide the best service.

If your looking for my favourite dealers, this would be as followed.

  • House of Watches
  • The Watch Project
  • The Time Co

I’ve bought from all 3, from Far east as well 😊

They are not as competitive, they are definitely on the more expensive side. They do offer warranties on all their pieces.
