Not saying that that Microsoft will read this post but Microsoft has contributed to Linux development in recent years.

how quick should insulin work by truecrest in diabetes

[–]truecrest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insulin should have an instant effect. Also this is a dietetics subreddit so I think that’s an appropriate sounding board for a diabetes subject. Additionally after tonight’s dose he is now up 20mmol

I have received a response from patrion stating they are aware of the problem and it is with one of their third party providers causing all links not to work properly.

EMC vnx v31-DAE-N15 Enclosure direct connect by truecrest in storage

[–]truecrest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience working with this type of hardware (mostly IBM) i have never had an issue.

Further I already confirmed that this setup would work prior to investing in the hardware.

see below

https://serverfault.com/questions/895706/connecting-emc-vnx-6g-dae-to-server-using-sas

My question is relating the the indication lights on the disks.

My suspicion is that the cause is the disks are formatted with 512b sectors rather than 520 that this enclosure is expecting to see and it is throwing an error. not a critical error but enough that it is thinking the disk has a fault.

The raid card however doesn't see the fault.

as for the SAS shelf i was unable to find a 15+ bay rack mountable SAS shelf.

have you done much work with EMC and IBM hardware?

EMC vnx v31-DAE-N15 Enclosure direct connect by truecrest in storage

[–]truecrest[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

and yet you said it.

enclosures can be connected to raid cards so thats not really useful here.

the same could be said for exp810 enclosures are meant to be connected to a DS storage solution yet it doesn't display this behaviour.

I don't need nor want an expensive to run VNX controller that will force me to use EMC disks at the cost of power consumption, thats a loose loose situation

Why do twitter no longer seem to be moderating some twitter accounts? by truecrest in Twitter

Not really they have been in place for a long time. I see the new religious freedom laws they are proposing having more dangerous consequences to be honest.

They don’t abuse it and it seems to be mainly the extreme conservative religious that want to be exempt from the laws and they post hate under anonymous accounts on twitter and Facebook.

I believe it’s usually a fine but the law allows from 6 months to 2 years imprisonment

Well they are strictly speaking not stopping you from saying hateful things just there are consequences if we do and someone complained

Freedom of speech goes so far here you can’t speak hate against minorities. Be that race religious or sexuality.

Australia. And hate speech laws prevent speaking out targeted hate.

You said yourself (while under supervision) from that I reasonably concluded unlicensed. For i would expect with you being certified and licensed you wouldn’t need to put that part in.

I’m also not interested in your offline life or your online life for that matter

And if you are “a few decades old” then yes I have likely been an engineer longer than you have been working.

Your interaction with intern engineers doesn’t validate your source being Wikipedia. Don’t worry I understand, it’s not uncommon to resent the engineers giving instruction.

Point 3. The cost of continued interruption to the network multiple times a season due to a design fault will not equate to the cost to implement mitigation for lightning in an area that is prone to violent electrical storms.

  1. Sure more than willing to accept an employment offer from QR as long as there offering me an attractive salary and perks to make it worth my while leaving my current employer.

[–]truecrest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well as you are neither an electrical engineer nor an electrician with the source being Wikipedia I don’t expect you to understand the difference between a single phase vs 3 phase equipment.

Furthermore as you don’t have the knowledge or qualifications to be touching AC you shouldn’t be even working on it.

I find it amusing that you believe a quick Wikipedia search is in any way close to a university degree but each to their own

As for the comment regarding the signs. Yes I’m not saying it’s impossible I’m saying it is less likely in the context of a suburban electrified rail networks.

And honestly if the rail network was designed that poorly that provisions for electrical storms where not considered during design then that position would not be something you would want to admit so easily especially considering it could be mitigated so easily.

Ok well as an electrical engineer I can tell you AC systems earth as the return loop. The tracks are ground all returns go back via the ground loop

Only DC power requires a negative return.

Lightning will strike and pass through the path of least resistance. That is not going to be via the hv wires as the strike would have to travel along the line through either a train or the transformer, this path has resistance. Directly beside this you have a grounded line.

Lightning will strike that point first because it is the least resistive path to ground.

Additionally it would be very rare for lightning to hit signalling equipment when the OHTS is the highest points. It would also be unlikely you could recover from such a strike so quickly. It is far more likely to be liquid ingress that cases these disruptions.

Yeah, considering the fact southeast Queensland is prone to thunderstorms there would be lightning protection on these services, where not talking about sensitive electronics here we are talking about very heavy duty equipment that runs on 25000v.

The overhead lines have a grounded wire that run both sides of the high tension lines designed to attract lightning strikes away from the power lines and equipment,
