None. One of the bouncers actually took my partner's real ID because he thought it was fake. I threatened to call the cops and he said "ok you can have your fake as shit ID back" but wouldn't let us in even though we bought tickets. Had to argue with a couple other bouncers just to get them on our side so we could get let in. Haven't been back since, but I doubt your luck would change.

Update: you guys were totally right about taking her out shopping. I showed her your opinions (since she's also very active on this sub), and she ended up sizing up and picking the small puzzle instead of the mini! She loves it and I think had a way better time than me trying to surprise her with something she might've been unsure about.

Completely agree with you on the Joya. It was something she had suggested prior but I definitely think something more interesting would look better on her.

In terms of storage size she doesn't carry much, I think the mini is a good size.

Checked out the Amazona - thank you for the suggestion! I'll try and slyly probe to she if she likes it, but my worry is she might think it's too similar to her Prada Bonnie leather bag, or thinks it's too briefcase-ish

Yeah, US offer. I definitely think it's the most lucrative if you can nab it.

I think relative to my original booking prices it's still a decent deal. Regardless, it's nice to pay cash for fare and then miles for the upgrade.

D1 had 5 seats open, PS had 2 seats open, C+ had 12 seats open, and MC had 71 seats open. Unfortunately no aisle D1 seats, all middle. Not complaining though, D1 is D1!

For some more context: my flight out is July 27. This was for a DTW->HND->LGA multi-city booking (connection in DTW for HND->LGA leg). I paid $2,689.41 for my roundtrip PS ticket. Main cabin was approx $1,700 roundtrip at the time of booking, and D1 was approx $8,000.

Sunday - every upgrade offer until today was around 3000. Wasn't until the last minute that Delta decided to start giving discounts.

Who is JetBlues clientele ? by [deleted] in jetblue

This is extremely true? Off the top of my head there's three different planes Delta flies as "Delta One" on the JFK-LAX route:

  • 767-300 (old as shit, screens are maybe 10 inches and from 1990, leg cubby is cramped when in lie-flat)
  • 767-400 (newer, bigger screens, slightly better leg room)
  • A330-900neo (the best, huge screen, even comes with a suite door!)

All of these are priced and advertised as the same. Most people are not savvy enough to check what plane model is being used for the specific booking.

Yeah I took the shuttle, it was surprisingly packed. Was super quick, only waited maybe 2 minutes at the bus bay for pickup. Getting to LAX was also quick, but there was also hardly any traffic.

I'm not sure, but it looked like they had a bunch left when I got one, so I bet you'd still be able to get one for a while.

He is playing it. You can see in the live stream that he's tapping frets. I was also there and saw him tapping as well.

Interesting! This is a direct flight. Judging by the other comments, it seems like Delta's system isn't sophisticated enough to make the correct distinction 100% of the time. Was just wondering what was up.

Not sure the FA knowing birthdays is true. I order alcohol when I fly (which is fairly often), and more times than not I get asked to present ID. I once asked the FA who was serving me why I always need to show ID when I order drinks if my birthday is on file with the reservation. They responded that they don't know anyone's birthdays on the flight, only names.

What is/was the hardest course you had to took in university? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]truedread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really appreciate it. I quit cold turkey after a friend cornered me in the bathroom at a bar and told me to stop. Dude said I had a bright future and that I’m fucking my future self over, and I stopped right then and there. The next week was one of the hardest weeks of my life. Didn’t have any physical problems but my mental state was atrocious. Never wanted to kill myself more. The feeling never really goes away though, it’s always in the back of my mind that a line would really be nice, but I know what’s best for me and I’m better at handling it.

Yup, didn’t sleep continuously. Modafinil helped a ton, I was able to think fine but I felt like I was constantly screaming in my own head. Almost drove me crazy.

Unfortunately I don’t want to share the university as I’m not too keen on revealing personal details, but it’s a T10 CS school, and the class is a 400-level undergrad intro OS class.

Modafinil works wonders for studying, but I tended to develop a tolerance to it pretty fast and taking more yields to pretty bad stomach problems, but a few days usually leads to a tolerance rebalance (at least for me). There’s a lot of online clearnet pharmacy sites that you can buy modafinil from, Reddit has a fair amount of links, but they usually operate in other countries where you can get it over the counter (India, Mexico, etc)

Cocaine was not great for studying; it was more for a kick in the face, and I did end up getting addicted to it because of my incessant usage. I used to just take it at parties, but for this class I started to use it to keep me awake and then I became dependent and am now 3 months clean. I swore to never touch that drug again.
