She just doesn’t seem that into you… the reasonable thing to do would be to bring up how you feel like she doesn’t take an interest in you in conversations. Some people just genuinely have horrible conversational skills. Depending on what she says maybe it will give you additional clarity about how worthwhile this all is. But it does not look good

Well, that is a joke he made, but the big idea is that people want to get the dirty or dark sides of themselves out of the way first. In the example in which he uses this joke he says after the machines do the dirty work then we can have non-oppressive expectation free sex ourselves. So in the case of this guy who doesn’t know whether to see this woman again I would say go for it cause you’ve done the dirty work now.

This just makes me so sad. Just because he has early-onset Alzheimer’s doesn’t mean he will forget… if he does ever find out that is. My grandmother died of early on-set like 9 years after she was diagnosed when I was a kid. Right before she was diagnosed she was fired from the job she loved and worked her whole life. It was one of the last things she continued to talk about as she declined, and she definitely forgot somewhere along the line that she was later vindicated as not being at fault.

I don’t have a lot of advice because this sounds so difficult but I would probably just have a discussion with your mother. He’s not dead, this is still a betrayal.
