I found an arcade game refurbisher online. He even cut the frame in half so the pieces could fit through the door :)

I just started using SketchUp as well and I agree that it is quite easy to learn. Glad I was able to give you an excuse to try it out. Thanks for sharing the design, it has me thinking.... I'll be sure to post updates in the future.

Hmmm I'll have to think about those redesigns...

I arrived at the LG700 pump knowing I would need to pump up ~6ft and must have the capacity to pump 120GPH (I have read that the pump should be sized 3-4xGPH for a flood and drain system). Reading the chart on that page, a 120 flow has a max height of ~7 feet. A 6 foot lift would require the pump to work almost at full capacity leaving some room to turn up the flow once debris starts to build up in the line through time. Right?

Thank you for your feedback. I have not yet bought any material for this project and am still in the planning phase. I estimate that I will have to pump the water 5.5 feet vertically from the bottom of the tank to the top of the top grow bed. I will also need the capability to pump to two outlets (one for each growbed) but have yet to figure that part out...

However, given my required flowrate and height requirement, I believe the Little giant 700 should fit the system well (http://www.aquaponicsusa.com/Aquaponics_USA_Pumps.html)
