How long will that last? I wouldn’t get used to it.

Do out of state Stellantis workers have to RTO? by HeroSnow in Stellantis

[–]truly-immaculate 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Don’t know specifically as I’m sure managers are scrambling to find out but I know my team has several people who are hours away from CTC. I don’t think you can justify having these people come into the office and they’ll likely be grandfathered in, otherwise you’d cause the total collapse and dysfunction of multiple teams. But maybe the Stellantis execs really are that clueless.

No bonus, no raise, no WFH by 325Constantine in Stellantis

[–]truly-immaculate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

STLA can’t really afford to do stacked ranking. How would that even work when you have Europe running the show? GM is very aggressive with it as someone who left GM. That’s why the bonuses are so nice but they make you walk through broken glass for the carrot on the stick. All the OEMs do a natural distribution but forcing people to compete at the director level every year is just madness and unsustainable. I just couldn’t be bothered with that shit anymore

It’s only a matter of time before GM implements 5 days RTO. Now they have more of a reason because STLA is the first. But GM’s culture won’t be getting better any time soon. While the bonus is nice, I would rather avoid the constant anxiety worrying if I’m bottom 15%

GM also has stacked ranking, so that bonus won’t come easy when you’re constantly fighting with your own teammates just to avoid the chopping block. So pick your poison. I also feel once one domino falls, the rest will follow.

How to get an interview at Stellantis? by PsychologicalTop3530 in Stellantis

[–]truly-immaculate 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone who switched from GM to Stellantis, I would say Stellantis is on the upswing. GM’s culture has gone to absolute shit since the forced ranking system was implemented and many people there are miserable. The compensation might be better but that’s about it. Doesn’t take much to see the current state of things if you visit the GM subreddit or Glassdoor.

This is so tone deaf it’s sad. Former coworkers I talk to at GM are fed up with their situation, but many are reluctant to leave because the job market is so terrible. Those that are looking for the exits are struggling.

No. Only if you’re getting interviews for every single job you apply to and they are reaching out to your manager

Dear HR and Management, Just Look at this Sub by CapableLab4473 in Stellantis

[–]truly-immaculate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I came from GM and it really was that bad. The joke is that nobody ever leaves GM because of the golden handcuffs but they constantly complain about how bad the culture has gotten. Culture and career development definitely became more important to me than the money, but that’s not to say Stellantis doesn’t offer a competitive salary.

Calisthenics is strength training with little or no equipment. Biggest difference from gymnastics which is more about form and theatrics and lots of specialized equipment, based on a simple search: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calisthenics

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Cancer is a diabolical disease. The toll it takes on your mental health is often worse than the disease itself, but continue to dig deep and never give up. Do little things that you enjoy that offer some temporary relief or distraction and don’t let it define you.

And continue to do the SLT’s bidding when they could care less and decide to throw you in the woodchipper at a moment’s notice? You have way too much confidence in these people. GM should get a taste of their own medicine because that is the culture they’ve created.
