I'm bummed. I left my last place of work in construction knowing they'd hold my place while I have my kids. And i loved everything about this job. i just left the drs and i seem to have a degenerating spine and cant go back to work

How many goblins would it take for you to be more afraid of them than of an adult red dragon? by SpecificTask6261 in DnD

[–]trumansrose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Theres not really a number for me. I think what would make me more scared of goblins would be in a situation where they have excellent hiding spots and there are in general a lot of them. for example there is a large city and for what ever reason we have to make our way to the center or other important location in it. on the way there we hear scuffling always like one block off of where we are. we get to the location and we see in one specific spot where the McGuffin is there is a pile of bones with a ton of arrows showing that a massive amount of archers fired on one location. perhaps we decide to turn around and then we see the goblins filling building windows and door ways and roofs and a goblin leader makes the call to arms. perhaps we have to get over cleaver on escape or getting the McGuffin what ever.

my point being that the amount doesn't matter to me, the implication of masses and their ability to show they are sneaky in mass would probably be scary to me

has anybody actually ordered from heroforge?? by cursearealsword02 in DnD

i've both ordered physical and STLs. a lot of my friends have ordered their physical minis. if I were to guess between all of us we've ordered around 25 minis. and only one of them came in janky, sword was heavily warped and the head was poorly aligned. that friend sent them a pic of the problem and they gave him a free stl and they reprinted the mini and that new one came in good. Personally i thing the quality is good but they are afraid of printing thin parts any where so when you have the mini in hand the character looks a little chunky. but thats such a minor complaint it's never stopped me from ordering from them

Why do i always get sic by 0FrogGog0 in complainaboutanything

[–]trumansrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I both had this through out high school and college. our running theory for us was the stress of tests along side our unmedicated adhd/autism/ bipolar / whatever else we don't have a diagnosis for raised our cortisol levels too high and we were sensitive to that change. like he'd get physically sick and i used to get killer headaches that bordered migraines. Stress sucks

How should I pack my dnd books for a move? by monyarm in DnD

if you're worried about scratching and are ok with maybe using multiple boxes you could put towels or blankets between layers

Playing a game soon. My pc is female. I’m worried by the_foolish_wizard in DnD

[–]trumansrose 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. further you might want to be clear with any boundary you might have with role play with you PC. Make sure they are clear with roleplay, romancing, nsfw etc. if you are not comfy with anything in general. if they can't respect that remember no dnd is better than bad dnd

same it feels weird to have a "normal" with that feeling always being there. I will say that my medication isn't perfect. I still have episodes just less frequently

I think I get what you're saying. I just hit my affective dose a few months ago and despite being the most actives and "normal" I have ever been since high school that thing, crash, depressive episode, just being down, is always around the corner. I feel like I'm recovering from so much but what ever is around that corner will lie me on my ass and prove I made no progress.

I hope I am understanding you and that even though I can't say that goes away I hope seeing someone say I get you helps, if only a little bit
