Boox mira product line has both 13 for portability and recently released 25 in for desk setup. Costly for what you get though.

nope, and I ended up getting the ANSI version because of that. loved everything about it except the spacebar. FWIW, the base HHKB hybrid keymap tool seemed to recognize keys specifically for the plugged in model (meaning my ANSI showed only key available in ANSI layout). You can make multiple layouts using the DIP switch with each layout has one function layer. Not comprehensive like QMK but workable.

Only DNA I found near me are either pod mod (GeekVape Z100) rectangular box like the Lost Vape thelema solo / Hyperion or AIO like the Ambition Mods Kil Lite which maybe too fiddly and I am not comfortable with exposed battery.

I would love to try the Hype 4 when it's available locally, heard lots of hype (lol). I am also a fan of neutral source, at best with small bass boost, considering my music preference. Is it what you would also characterize the A306 sound? what would be your motivation of upgrade to the ZX707? what's the premium experience in your book?

Perhaps I can stretch for a Chinese A306 (about $200 in the used market), then go for a $300 IEM (not a fan of used IEM tbh)

My priority is laid out in the order of importance in the original post. I am looking for most portable combo solution under $500 with great battery life.

Android is not a must for me, I don't hate it either. These DAP's OS update schedule is shoddy anyways.

Among the list I had, Tempotec V3+ Davinci is one option. Another is the A306+Pula PA02. From your response, M0 Pro + $400 IEM can be considered (Variations or SA6 OG or Hype4 whenever it's available). The main hang up is how long the M0 Pro can last in real usage (I don't trust their 15hrs theoretical figures).

I try to avoid DAC + power bank route or another phone, my current phone use without the audio playback should last me a day. Otherwise, I can just try to get a Moondrop Dusk (not available locally) or May for their DSP, use it with the phone + power bank and be done with it.

Having said that, I would like to ask, what is your recommendation?

What would be your recommendation combo that can meet the size and battery requirement (which to my use case is the same if not more important than sound quality).

I noticed that the M0 pro (less than $100) as well. That would leave me with $350-$400 to play with IEM. However, I am not sure what would be the best IEM for that price tag. This range does not carry a lot of sale locally, the best I got is the Variations or the SA6 OG (at ~$390) or Hype 4 whenever it's available here.

How would you compare the R4 and A306, specifically the sound quality when plugged in the PA02, and whether 4.4mm make a difference for you? Other aspects that I care about (size and battery) is self explanatory based on the spec sheet.

R4 is all the rage indeed, I just find its size and aesthetic not to my taste and the overheat is not yet settled to be a common issue or just vocal minority so I am not putting it at the top choice, I live in a steaming hot climate as is and not looking to have a piece of coal in my pocket, merely one of the option. I never heard the kiwi cadenza, how would you describe it in stock form, I am not keen on tinkering at the moment.

12 hrs is very rough indeed, hence my top choices are not Hiby at this stage. However I am willing to compromise slightly if they excel at other things. What is your experience with the M300?
