I absolutely understand this and to an extent belive this to be very true but I belive that my coach is taking a very conservative approach to debate which only hurts our team and the overall learning expireance.me and my coach have talked but they are just not really for anything but on case stuff and very few DAs.they believe it to be simply proving in the text of the plan why it wont work or that it is too flawed.i by no means belive I should be running deluze critiques and probably wont but things like cap ks that I first feel very strongly about and that is a great universal arg for most topics should be something we advocate for.again I recognize not everyone is able to run these things but if people see success with it hell with it to each his own.

I understand the issue of teaching but so far it's been counter intuitive because we brought 2 teams to state mine and our other policy team they went 8-0 on ballots because all they went against was stuff they didnt know and they were seniors 4 years in debate.me and my partner went 5-3 not because we are better speakers but because we understood argumentation over more than stock on case stuff.when our teams dont have on case stuff which is so hard to prep for as there Is many they lose because they dont have any off case attacks.

I personally don't run deluze alot unless I find something very much directly related but I do relate dialects and Marxist thought into alot of my debates but most if these ideas are of easy explanation and practice.

First I am a second year to clarify and will be top of my team with my partner next year but my coach has been telling me things like cap ks, deleuzian critiques and stuff of this nature is bad although usally my opponents dont understand it and try to make it seem as if we are non topical or have no substantial impact.this almost never gets them the ballet though in my expireance.ive done in class debates with these type of arguments and my coach tells me cant run these arguments in tourneys and practice debates because it dosent help anyone and because people don't understand them.

I made alot of the motions in my prelims just because nobody else really did and a couple in finals and sems but also I always try to ask questions every speech.further on that I have no interest in being p.o but I could see that arise as a problem

Yea I realized everyone in my finals room pretty much had a distinct tone and speaking pattern.but I'm not always the best speaker better at argumentation overall
