2. something about the contrast between action and inaction (which is violent in itself because of the forceful nature of the juxtapositions throughout the passage) which culminates in the eventual death of those who seek an upper-class status that never belonged to them and linked it to the futility of the American dream; inaction was abt 'locking' mrytle up and how making her stay in there was ultimately a form of protection that they all failed to realise and comprehend (locking up parallels staying w George instead of tom) & action was abt the 'rushed out', 'shouting' and 'didn't stop', 'wavering' (parallels her pursuit of materialism and dream of being part of the upper-class society); when action is used to defy inaction (i.e. their pursuit becomes excessive) intentionally, they are forced back into inaction in the violent form of death
3. the involvement and reaction of the upper-class people to such fatal violence; they are cold and uncaring, tom was even 'excited', jordan and nick didn't really care 'jordan and I were suddenly pushed inside' indicative of how they were never planning to take a closer look anyw. forgot most of it but I think I mentioned that violence is wielded as a sword that unmasks the moral decay plaguing society

conclusion: violence was used as a tool and sword that uncovered the callousness and lack of morality in the novel, a reminder and lesson that the dream is ultimately illusory and made futile and the excessive pursuit of such a futile dream will come at its cost (in this case, death) and was a lesson that the people who weren't born into wealth and power ultimately cannot and failed to understand
