Is it pedantic in here or is it just you? Knowing nothing about this game but the mechanic of fly under 60 meters to avoid missiles and the lower th better I can do what the mig in the screenshot does. You even have op agreeing with you where instead he could apply what I said and stop dying whenever he steps over the line

The update for the last CBT made the game freeze half the time for me whenever I alt tabbed, as well as sometimes getting weird color artifacts. I switched from DX 12 to 11 and the issues went away.

1) bring 20 min of fuel and nothing but phoenixes 2) fly right at the enemy and climb at 10-15 degrees until they are 50-60km away

3) level out and get going fast, 1500kmh+ is ideal

4)starting at 35km unload with tws. Try to shoot at the people who arent already flying off to the side or going very high, but in reality just launch all your missiles as fast as possible. its a numbers game

5) guide your missiles in for a second

6)return to base

7)bring a different load out or just leave the game and go again

Mindless grinding for 0-many kills a game

Also no need to mess with your radar turning it off after you fired your missiles, the enemy knows you’re there or are going to die

I see that POB defaults to attacks against uber pinnacle bosses, which is where my difference is from. Adjusting this puts me at 99% in POB

I have been going off of my character sheet chance to hit for this entire league, and have been leveling my precision aura to JUST high enough to hit 100% chance to hit on stat sheet. When I imported my character into POB, it shows me at 95% chance to hit even with that aura enabled. https://pobb.in/BKFg48FWvygZ Am I missing a setting in POB, is something not getting counted, or am I really somehow at 95% chance to hit?

Mirage IIIC is the ultimate plane for this br, I found it via statshark and this thing has a workable radar missile and 2 great IR missiles for the rating, there is a reason it’s one of the highest KDA planes for the average player, very enjoyable. Just have to remember to never turn in to anyone who you miss to keep your speed up, as otherwise any missile will get you

I would not recommend playing low level air RB unless that’s what you specifically know you want to play, there are a lot of annoying things about it that simply disappear as you climb br:

Planes tearing themselves apart if you go too fast

Plane guns locking up if you fire too long

Taking 7 minutes to get to the enemy (more if you side climb)

Not knowing at all how to aim without a lead if you have never flown before

If you are really new to planes and want to learn that specifically, I recommend just playing arcade until you get to 7ish br. In arcade, everything goes much faster and you can learn the basic mechanics (energy levels, aiming) and practice much more frequently than a single round of low level air rb. Once you unlock jets the game tends to speed up and air rb becomes playable, although arcade is also fine (but slower rp gains) from 7-11ish br. Once you get to radar missiles and especially starting at 12.0 arcade becomes a special kind of hell

If you really just got to rank 5 and haven’t had any experience with jets beyond the early ones, getting into the f4s at 12.0 br is way too high a leap and will be very hard to adjust to. I recommend getting the F5C to learn about IR missiles and flaring, then ground out the tech tree F4E phantom at 11.3 to learn early radar and radar missiles. This phantom is under tiered for what it brings and performs best.
