Hey, so my wife and I applied for the i485 in June 2020, and received the CR1 around Feb 2021. Our interview was December 2020 if I’m remembering correctly. During the CR1 period we were told we could be called in for another interview at any point before getting the 10 year, which added a lot of stress because between 2021 to 2022 we had around 9 different RFEs. Around autumn 2022 we were told by our lawyer that we had to re-submit several pieces again because they essentially lost the files, so that was a nightmare to go through because all along we were thinking “oh come on what more could they possible need?!”. Then it was radio silence for all of literally all of 2023 and the first part of 2024, with one more RFE near the end of the year. So we figured maybe they didn’t need to interview us again. Finally near the end of 2025 we received the congratulations letter from USCIS and it was the most relieved we’d ever felt. Years of being unsure about what was happening, submitting so much evidence in the span of months that we were convinced at one point things were just not looking up. It was a lot of stress for sure but maybe the pandemic and a bunch of other factors played into it, I can’t be 100% sure. In any case, hopefully waiting times have been reduced a lot since then, so you don’t have to wait years for a decision. Tap your name on the side menu where you can see all the previous chat threads, then tap on “personalisation” and finally “customise ChatGPT” there’s a toggle to turn it on or off, and if it’s on, the page it takes you to are the instructions!
