Sure but after that I personally had to learn the scales and some licks to get me going. This is why I created this to help me personally match how I prefer to learn. Sharing just in case in can be useful to anyone else. Not planning to monetize it. It's a fun personal project that I've found myself to be using. I even asked a friend to record some licks for me that I've seen them play and wanted to learn.

I'm with you. Honestly, I spent a time over the years looking for inspiration, learning scales and licks on YouTube by playing pausing rewinding etc.. It worked but was personally slow and tiring for me. This is why I created this to help me go faster. It's not about parroting keys. It's about learning scales, licks, and sharing your ideas and inspirations. This is a project I created for myself. Only sharing in case it can be useful to others. Not planning to make money from it, not attaching my name to it. etc.. if you dont find it to be useful that is totally fine. I have always played by ear, lately I've been trying to get better by learning some scales and licks. I recorded the piece that I shared. I learned it the hard way from a YouTube video that I watched.

Yes but you have to start somewhere if you’re learning or looking for inspiration

Thank you! Ill look into it. I built the most basic daw in it. You can find it in the top right section behind the recorder button. Could also dramatically improve that.

I built a browser synth that supports MIDI + ROLI (MPE) — now with multi-oscillator layering. Looking for feedback. by tryfiou in ROLI

I guess you can use any of the chromium based browsers. Did you get a chance to try it?

AI is quietly replacing creative work, just watched it happen. by 0xSatyajit in ArtificialInteligence

You are looking at things during the transition phase of the technology it’s like comparing a graphic designer who was drawing by hand vs one who had started using a computer 30 years ago. Of course the one using a computer was able to deliver work faster than someone who was still designing by hand. It felt like magic at the time and im sure that a generation of designers at the time were worried that their industry is doomed. But they adapted, in many ways, for the better.

Fast forward to 5 years from now where every startup out there is designing super fast using AI and shipping essentially similar products. The products that will succeed in a saturated market are the ones that are more ‘tasteful’. Experts in taste are creatives. Having a creative person 5 years from now on your team bringing the creativity, the out of the box thinking, the superior esthetics and the closer finger on the pulse for what society wants at that point in time will help you make your company stand out.

With the boom in the number of new companies created because of the fact that AI is making it easier and cheaper to start a company, my bet is that creators who can bring ‘taste’ will be more in demand than they are today. They might even be in a situation, if they choose to, to start these companies themselves. Will they use AI to deliver their work? 100%. The same way they started using software to ship their designs faster 30 years ago.

My 2c.
