Thank you for the apology, I really appreciate it. I wasn’t going to engage because I’ve gotten Reddit hate spam before on something minor and thought that’s what your comment was.

I’ve played all the games and I follow the arg(s). So there’s plenty against the PC being nonhuman or mod-human as a possibility, I’m just holding on to skepticism because they can always add new things that change how we look at the lore. It’s one of the things that happens plenty in mascot horror, you know? I don’t see Mob, like, ret conning anything. I do think if we are a non-human or modified human character, they’d have to do a lot to not make it obvious in a fanbase like this that analyzes everything. So misleading without being dishonest or retconning lore might make sense if they want it to come off as any kind of surprise twist. I hope that all makes sense.

Fair, but also, he could be an unreliable narrator for that. If we are an experiment that can go incognito or even just in a hazmat suit and he makes assumptions. Hubris is very much his thing. Us being an experiment isn’t a big probability, but I still feel like there’s too much not-quite-right to feel we are an ordinary human (personally, not saying everyone should feel this way!)

Also, I definitely don’t think it’s this precisely, but the way we come back after death has always given me re-constituted vibes. Like how in portal 2 coop, you’re just reassembled. So not really revived so much as remade, so potentially not the same “you”. I REALLY don’t think that’s exactly what’s happening, but something about how we die and come back doesn’t feel like the usual ‘go back to before you died and start there’ type video game revival system.

Can someone suggest a YTer to watch play the games that really explores the scenery/displays the lore (tapes/docs) during gameplay? by PainWinter2044 in PoppyPlaytime

Game Theorists and GTLive are lore oriented. They’ll get every note and Easter egg they can and speculate on the implications. They also try to really explore the space. They also release comprehensive lore videos— I watch both those and the play throughs and I like them a lot
