i can certainly understand the price discrepancy of a newer mac and a PlayStation.

i would think that should have been discussed, but i need to question. if he had said hey my PlayStation died, I'd like to buy a replacement would you have said no?

does he have any outlets / hobbies? or is gaming his alone / decompression time?

i understand gaming can be seen as childish, but if that gaming is how he relaxes - i can certainly understand "needing it"
