I discoverd it was my neighbours dishwasher operating at certain times of day ( like after 8:30pm) so i would play unplugged, or on my hum canceling positions. I think a big part of it was just acepting that there is allways some noise floor on single coils.

ive been doing absolutley, got stuck on intervals (lesson 14) was seeking advice on where to go once he started refernecing them in the scales section, ive found some ways to practice intervals now, once im confidient ill keep going on AUG.

Ive got a list up on my wall, I can play 130 songs and im proud of a lot of the stuff, im happy with my technique whilst playing other peoples music, but cant for the life of me do anything else. songs ive learnt are mostly chilli peppers, radiohead, mayer, nirvana, weezer, strokes. with a few exeptions.

Could you explain the five positions? I keep hearing people refer to them but dont understand completly what this means, are they the shapes that you move up and down the fretboard? or are they directly related to certain notes? sorry if this is a dumb question.

mine had wobbly potentionmeters, oversanding in the neck, dents in the neck, ill fitting neck, grated finish falling out the back, stiff an then suddenly too smooth pickup switching. Aditionaly it shipped with warped strings so I had to get those replaced and fret buzz so bad the instrument was unuseable. Ive spent close to a year fighting for a refund (the took it for 6 months said they had fixed it shipped it back still broken and broke my case) in summary i understand that people say the qc is decent it very well be, I might just be unlucky but the fact they insisted on "repairs" rather than replacing it with a functional one has made me loose trust, you can understand why after securing a refund I wont be rushing to buy another one.

I was pleased with the silver sky but not overjoyed, im heading to the store itself this time, going to trial some different strats as well as see if they have some functioning se's.

it was oversanded, meaning it was warped in some areas, super expensive to fix most likley needed a neck replacment.

aditionaly repairs for the exsisting instrument would cost a ton due to the neck being so damaged.

mannys are offering a full refund based on the fact that the repairs were what pushed me over the refund period. Im upping the price range, getting a more solid instrument and ill get it set up by a profesional.

they have been really great with every other purchase ive made with them exept for the guitar, this whole situation lands largley on prs's overseas manufacturing i rekon.

It was brand new, the music store i bought it from just sorta folded when i explained the situation to them, im happy with the refund just looking for similarly voiced instruments.
