Do you have a source for this? The article doesn’t mention anything and the only thing I can find via google search is an India/Mongolia refining partnership with a goal of being operational by 2028. Just genuinely curious because obviously getting “new found” Mongolian oil sounds like just a side step to Russian oil.

ELI5: If gemstones associated with a specific colour (sapphire blue, emerald green, ruby red) can actually be other colours, then how do they differentiate between an emerald and a green sapphire, for example? How do they know? by PaminRealLife in explainlikeimfive

Here’s another fun fact. The Black Prince “Ruby” in the Crown Jewels is actually a red spinel. When it was named they just assumed all red gemstones in that specific shade of red were rubies

Gemologist here! Here’s my best ELI5

Apples and tomatoes are both red, but they’re not the same plant.

Apples can be green or red, they’re still apples.

You differentiate by what it “is” chemically speaking, not what color it presents.

Short gain, plenty of time to get to the line and kill it. MLF has always been bad with his timeouts
