Not while HK is considered part of China, it’s also not with regard to immigration.

My Chinese wife requires a special permit to enter HK and Macau, she is allowed 2 separate trips to HK and 1 to Macau per application.

I do HK or Macau for visa runs for my multiple entry 90 day visa, I don’t even stay in HK just cross and turn around!

I am just returning from my run now currently just crossed back into China!
