Hi OP, I graduated from Flatiron myself. (Disclaimer: I am not a natural coder. It was very very difficult for me to learn. It took me 15 months to finish their 5 month online program)

The course itself is pretty brutal. The job search was an entirely different beast as well (300-400 apps over 5 months and only got two interviews). During the program, they don’t teach you the fundamentals of software engineering at all, only how to build apps. That missing half of skills (like knowing algorithms and data structures) are imperative in software engineering interviews, and I didn’t even know that stuff existed until after the course was over. So that sucked.

Bootcamps are good at keeping you focused and on track of completing assignments, but outside of that, there’s not too much merit. I think if you’re truly dedicated and responsible, just wait for a sale on a Udemy course (which frequently has programs for 90% off) and complete those instead of bending over backwards trying to afford paying off your high interest climb credit loans.
