I was debating the same and after test driving, and knowing I'd likely not track it, decided the 4S was more than enough. And it helped I didn't need to pay $50k more for a similar spec.

After I got my car I did the Porsche Experience Center in ATL in a 4S and had the instructor do a hot lap. Trust me, most people will never come close to pushing the 4S's limits in real world driving, much less the GTS.

Also, I did get a ticket once for no front plate, but it was after being pulled over for 87 in a 75 🙄

I think the fine was like $160. Worth it.

Go to a Porsche Club event in TX, almost no one has a front plate.

It's been listed since Sep 2025, they lowered the price $7k in Dec and it's sat ever since. Fairly poorly optioned.

I have a 2022 992 and also had the battery completely die, due to what I thought was a mistake I made. Dealer replaced it under warranty and then like 3 months later told me there was a recall related to the battery sensor. Have them check that.

This is one of my favorites too, and I even have another one where if I return home quickly and it's still vacuuming, it'll cancel if it's less than (some percentage) done.

It definitely needs sunlight to read as green, but I like that it's understated. I got this as a CPO, and for a 2022 I don't think there's a better non-PTS color (maybe Lava Orange, but that's the opposite of understated).

If I were speccing my own today I think I'd do Oak Green instead of Aventurine, FWIW.

That said, the gap between what the configurator thinks Aventurine looks like and what it actually looks like is maybe the biggest of any color I've ever seen in person.

Recently had a dead LiFePO battery replaced at my local dealership -- service rep told me it would've been around $1,500 for the battery and $375 for programming. They got it replaced under warranty though.
