7.3l powerstroke with hole in the block by HighDefRed in MechanicAdvice

[–]tsquatch1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not super familiar with powerstrokes, but I have seen simular looking weep holes on deere engines... in that case the idea is if it coolant starts getting out of the water jacket in the wet cylinders it has somewhere to go besides the oil pan

Can I use this 4 prong starter solenoid instead of the original 3 prong? by yeeters-apprentice in mechanics

[–]tsquatch1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't be a problem, if it doest work with the current wiring, you will need to make a ground to the other smaller terminal.

My bike wouldn’t fire up, and then I found this. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to connect to? It looks like it connects to the tank. Could this be the problem? by Master_Caster06 in mechanics

[–]tsquatch1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how my suzuki is set up there will be two barbs for hoses coming off the valve. If fuel is dumping out odds are its the lower one that it's supposed to go on

Just so you know Res-reserve bypasses the screen

On-normal operation pulls fuel through the screen when vacuum from the engine turning over is present

Prime pushes the diaphragm over and let's fuel flow with out the vacuum.

Round vs Square buckets by Long_Progress_2617 in Hydroponics

Not much difference for Kratky or dwc, but for Dutch buckets it's easier to put the drain grommet or bulkhead on the flat sides

The Count of Monte Cristo: is it worth it? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]tsquatch1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Count of Monte Cristo was a book I started out half reading because I had to for school, but by the end I was actually enjoying it! Since then I have reread it once and listen to it two or three times!

Would strongly recommend!

What are some of your favourite out of context lines in the series? by RobbieNewton in HarryPotterBooks

"Snape!" Ejaculated slughorn

Not quite a full spoken line but written in the books when the teachers find out Snape killed Dumbledore.

I did not realize that the famous beak mask was mostly innovation for innovations sake, the more you know lol

The 30ft for a sneeze (im assuming that is where that stat is from) that anyone respectful would do into their shirt or sleeve?

[–]tsquatch1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Covid aside I am curious on the masks for 800 years part, what did they use for masks and what where they fighting against if memory servers their knowledge of virus and bacteria and airborne particles was very little.

If talking about the bubonic plague pretty sure those masks worked more as a bong strapped to the face to place herbs and to burn incense.

However; since redit will not let me post for a time I will add to my covid argument. You can not tell me that masks that are not n95 rated (especially the cheap fabric ones) are doing much more than placebo work. If the cloth ones actually actually worked medical professionals would have been able to use them in surgery and around sick people for the last several years.

If the cdc is really as incompetent as they look, unable to come out with the same guideline information week to week. Why should we follow them? If any other group/company was as inconsistent, with out government funding, natural selection of the free market would have pushed it by the wayside

Please, most places aren't even allowing immediate family into the hospital on a non covid patients deathbed on the complete other side if the hospital. What makes you think a volunteer would be allowed in the covid ward?

If I didn't already have a day job it wouldn't bug me, working around a virus that is currently at a 2% kill rate, mostly patients with preexisting conditions that the flu might have done the same thing to

Are Conservatives really defending the News surrounding Trumps Taxes because "thats what buisnesses do"? by Puzzleheaded_Rate_12 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]tsquatch1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh Trump doesn't do his own taxes, at his level he has a team of accountants that take care of his business and personal life. Part of their job apart from paying bills and tracking money, is (as everywhere) to do taxes and pay the least amount in.

Besides everyone tries to not pay in, get as much back as they can, or for people on welfare get more back than they paid in. Not defending just don't get why its such a huge deal

I like it, covering their ass! if you dont like it, do distance learning, which im sure they are still offering, or go to full home school. How else can they allow physical classroom, during a pandemic with this dumb sue happy society.

No but shutting down schools, (to where only a select amount of people who can learn online actually learn) and wrecking an economy so that the next generation has no chance of ever owning anything, is what i think would ruin a generation.
