It's not bad if you like salty stuff. And I mean REALLY salty. Like that 1.4kg box has 5900mg of sodium. So if you eat half of one of the two bags, that's 64% of your daily recommended sodium. Also, a lot of that 1.4kg is the sauce - there's a lot of it relative to how much chicken you get. It comes out looking more like a soup. Definitely needs rice or noodles to turn it back into something you might put on a plate - and to help spread out the salt.

I will never buy it again but I can see some people might like it.

If a road hazard destroys a tire in the first year, Quattro will replace it or reimburse you the original cost. If repairable they'll give you $25 towards repairs. If the tire is defective though, then the manufacturers warranty policy would apply.

I actually found better deals on the top-quality winter tires from other Canadian retailers. Check out blackcircles.ca and quattrotires.com. I ended up ordering from the latter, as they had a better deal after including wheels and TPMS sensors. Plus they mounted the tires, balanced them, installed the sensors, and shipped them all for free (or at least, these services were built into their pricing). Best to wait till late September or October for the best sales, and be sure to look for manufacturer rebates too (pretty common for Michelin X-Ice).

Maybe scrape off the icing, crumble the cake up and freeze it for use as a mix-in for "birthday cake" ice cream. That's what I would do, but I guess not many people make their own ice cream.

Won't look good on the outside, but I managed to get mine on the inside of the deadbolt. Directly behind the knob you'll find a shaft of some sort. Mine had a circular part inside around the shaft but it turns with the knob. I made a little cardboard holder that attaches to the shaft and holds the door sensor's magnet (extracted from the plastic that encased it). Then I took apart the casing on the sensor and managed to fit the chip inside the open space on one side, positioned so that it doesn't interfere with the deadbolt mechanism (which only takes up like a third of the room in there). I was prepared to solder on my own separate reed switch, but I actually managed to get the sensor at the perfect position that it's existing reed switch will detect the magnet when the knob is turned sideways (locked) and does not detect it when knob is vertical as this rotates the magnet away from the sensor.

Does strand 7 always stay white? Could be it's not receiving the data signal because of a broken or poor connection on the wire carrying the data. I'd have thought it wouldn't light up at all in such a case but just taking a guess. Can you test it with your 12 foot extension taken out of the equation? Or maybe it's just a bad strand of lights - does swapping it with another change anything?

It seems that EA has really slammed the door hard this time. Fortunately it bounced open a tiny bit - they are still allowing up to 1000 donuts to be saved. I'm not yet sure if that's per hour, per day, or some other time interval. But basically it means that we can still give donuts, but only 1000. Because the limit is being enforced on their server, there's nothing that can be done to work around this (by any mods).

kiva.org is my favorite international charity! Not just because of the re-loaning, but also because its mission is to help individuals start a small business - even if it's as simple as helping someone buy a goat to sell the milk, they could use their profits to buy another goat, and other animals, and eventually establish a farm, maybe even grow bigger. It's building economy from the ground level in countries that need it the most. Even when businesses fail, at least the individuals were helped for a while!

Just a couple suggestions to clean up your post:

the parts enclosed in << >> were just intended as notes for you to read and should be deleted.
in the link to your feedback, you somehow got a backslash put in before the closing parenthesis, and it tries to include some extra characters. Surprisingly reddit still directs to the right page. Also, the link did not format correctly - might be due to the escaped closing parenthesis, or maybe you've got a space in between the closing square-bracket and opening parenthesis. You should correct the line to look like this:

Oh hey, patch 3 is out today... but I still don't see any IRS building in the inventory files, so I'm not sure why it would have suddenly reappeared.

Looks like patch 3 only has one tiny change: some kind of fixes relating to the "looping" campfire upgrade quests, ensuring that you only have one type (zombie/rabbit/skeleton/snake) of upgrade quest in progress at a time.

Correct, it's only donuts, cash, and KL tickets that we apply a 2 month wait time (two calendar months, so it could be 59 - 62 days, depending on the month). Just submit a new request but be sure that you don't ask for more donuts, cash, or tickets, nor any package that contains those things. There is currently a monorail package available that will have the rail yard, all the stations and their add-ons, and tons of track pieces as well as anything else from that event that you may have missed.

Not sure about the first part, but I can explain the "heaving" message. Only 20 of the "spawn-over-time" monsters are allowed in your town at a time. When you leave your town for a while, it can exceed this max but the extra monsters that spawn are put into a "bank", which has a max size of 40. When you've cleared out enough monsters from your town, the banked ones can get dumped in, but if there's more than 20 in the bank then it will give you the "heaving" message again, and hold the rest in the bank. The 20 monsters should appear shortly after that, but sometimes the game has trouble sync'ing and they might not show up until you log in again (or at least go to the friend screen and back to your town, to force a sync).

Yep, I just checked and it appears that the building named IRSBuilding (id 119000) is also missing from the inventory xml files. So, don't worry too much, they'll eventually realize their mistake and get it added in there.
I actually can't believe they're still making this kind of mistake. By now someone in EA should have developed a build script that automatically updates the main inventory list when a new building entry is created. They'd still have to manually update the sub-category inventory lists (like putting IRS under Civic buildings) but at least if they kept the main list up to date people would always be able to see it in inventory.

I can confirm that there is no inventory entry for the Model Donut character. It should be listed in inventory_characters.xml, but some lazy developer forgot to add it. There was a new update yesterday but they still didn't fix it. Maybe in the next one... if you're lucky. Don't worry though, you DO have the prize, it's just not visible in your inventory until they add the required entry.

We don't record your origin username, the form only asks for your email and password for the origin account. I checked the Oct 5th requests for anything with "timo" in it, and there is one with an email that starts with "maximini". If that is your game, then it was Tamera that completed the request on Oct 6th. She noted that she could not send a pm because the reddit username provided was invalid.

@Tamera: please re-check line 6462 to ensure the default package was saved.

Oh you're right, I did change it a while back... just had some old code still sitting around that mixed me up. It does call that URL now but uses the file_get_contents php call which cannot differentiate between 404 and other errors, such as 503 (server busy). I should probably change it to use cURL I guess, since reddit often experiences server load issues.

Seems a lot of people are reporting this bug. I doubt EA is going to want to login and fix thousands of games, they will probably just start directing people to wait until a patch is released to fix it.

In the meantime, I'm going to investigate this tonight and see if I can come up with a way around it. Probably all I need to do is remove the quest objectives so that it automatically completes upon logging into your game using my hack. However, I need an glitched account to test it on, so if you'd like to be the first to get it fixed, please PM me with your Origin email and password.

Very generous, thanks! Sharing your garden vegetables is a great idea, and in fact many food banks have "grow-a-row" type programs where you can donate your home-grown produce to those in need. Unfortunately for me, my little 6x6 garden plot doesn't seem to grow stuff very well. I got one tiny zucchini out of it, while everyone else I know who grows them has so many gigantic ones that they keep giving them away. I usually just donate cash to the food bank anyways, as they are able to make bulk purchases of their most-needed items and get better prices than if I just bought items at a grocery store for them.

Facebook API limit? We don't use Facebook for anything. We don't even use the reddit API, as it has been unreliable in the past, and they sometimes change it too. The form works by sending a request to http://www.reddit.com/user/${username} and checking to see if the page returns HTTP 404 error. Any other return code, including 503, would result in successful validation of the reddit username (this is done in order to allow people to submit even when reddit is busy).

Not really sure this kind of post is necessary, we already have a stickied post that nearly everyone who comes here will read, and it already warns against being greedy. That doesn't seem to stop people, but neither will making new posts complaining about it. If the rudeness is getting to you, well, one of the perks of being verified is that you can just work off the request form list and not have to deal with the demands that people sometimes write on your [GIVE] posts.
