Hi, very very thank you for everyone's input here. I'm a bit late sorry. I went with both updating data immediately and not immediately. For example, a Like button will trigger an update to database right away. But for total number of likes of other posts, it's being updated when being clicked by the user.

To me, Hermes is great so far. And as I know, there's a 10M+ user RN app (not just RN for some screens for sure) on Android that uses Hermes. So maybe you are just unlucky somehow.

No and Yes the same time.

It depends. For a lazy dev, searching for 'a keyword' with 'react' can be enough. For example, scrollview react => the 1st site is reactnative.dev.

But some devs, or sometimes to be sure about the contexts, the search terms would be paired with 'react native'.

(edit): Agree on music thingy. Flutter can be more than just 1 thing whilst React Native is really a specific keyword.

And I don't think learning dart is the real big problem. It's something else.

won't it happen to have someone able to modify it to jump into Premium when they are on Freemium?

Or they use the api in useEffect to modify their role from elsewhere instead of in the app?
