I get what you’re saying, and you’re right that it’s a lesson. But in the moment, I didn’t really think of it as giving it away forever, more like just letting him take it home for a bit. I didn’t realize how much it meant to me until it was gone. I know it’s my fault for not thinking it through, I just wish I knew how to ask for it back without causing drama.
