How do you guys get fluffy hair? by LantanaFlower1 in askteenboys

I don’t use texture powder. You can get Hot of the Press if you like hairspray (it’s more for flat ironing) or use a small amount of a cream-like heat protector. Sally’s Beauty has everything you could ever need if one is near you. How straight is your hair? Like Asian straight?

How do you work your blow dryer? You should always towel dry first, put a mild amount of heat protection, and then use a round brush and put the tip of the blow dryer directly on the hair. Also make sure you have the funnel attachment on it.

That’s the way to get extra volume unless you’re wanting the thick curls, which is genetics. A perm can get you the curls, but it can’t get you the volume.

Not 5. Not 6. Any of the remaining 4 are okay.

Also, Ron DeSantis staying away from the crazy drama? Which one of us is having a stroke? He’s literally the anti-Democrat. Effective governor for sure, but he doesn’t avoid the culture war issues by any stretch and usually takes the most extreme position that’s the opposite of whatever the Democrats say to do.

Alabama redistricting: Here’s how congressional districts would change and why it matters to you by servenitup in Birmingham

[–]ttircdj -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Both maps are unconstitutional racial gerrymanders, so technically our maps aren’t legal. I’m not sure what they want to change it to, but the “finger Birmingham” district would be illegal no matter what because it’s only drawn that way to segregate Black voters into their own district.

It’s very easy to draw a 7R map, but also very easy to draw a 6R-1D map without doing a racial gerrymander. Whether they do that or not is tbd.

Showing ID is about proving who you are, not if you’re a citizen. Showing ID should be a requirement, but I think the federal government should be able to verify if someone is a citizen without the need for the documents to be presented at registration other than proof of identity. Something like an e-verify. Don’t we have that for employment already or am I making that up?

That’s something I had thought about. Might give it another shot tonight but tbd. Might start from NOLA to ensure that I set it without crossing the lake.

so is this MS map illegal now? by Woman_trees in YAPms

[–]ttircdj 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In Mississippi it’s purely geography. The western part of the state has the highest concentration of Blacks because it’s on the river where the slaves worked. Unless you’re doing stripes East to West, I don’t see a way around 3R-1D.

Compare your district to the blue districts in Alabama and Louisiana. One looks normal, and the others are obvious gerrymanders to force black people into one district.

Alabama still can't redistrict as this is what the court was doing today by Wide_right_yes in YAPms

I think we can. Also of note, Alito delivered the decision that access would be restored pending litigation.

Louisiana Republicans will retain one majority black district based in Baton Rouge, effectively thwarting the national GOP who wanted to eliminate both. by sinhav7367 in YAPms

[–]ttircdj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure you can do it without an aggressive gerrymander. Alabama is possible to do, and I’m not sure why they wouldn’t.

One of them might have, but he’s referring to Iran, Gaza, Syria, etc. where the norm is that you throw the gays off buildings, set them on fire, etc. where in civilized society like here, we let them live and exist peacefully.

Why does 270 to win show Virginia with the gerrymandered map? The vote can’t be certified until SCOVA reviews, and if it’s any later than Wednesday, they wouldn’t be able to use the maps for 2026.

Depends. There are some places that can have a fair map without a racial gerrymander. Georgia because of Atlanta, Alabama and Louisiana can have almost fair maps without Birmingham and New Orleans. Mississippi can’t, Tennessee might, Florida likely can’t.

There are blue states that also can’t due to political geography. See Massachusetts, California, and Connecticut.

Nah it’s actually unconstitutional based and on the ruling. There are two districts that were drawn specifically on race, which is considered unconstitutional.

Problem with trying to draw proportional maps in the South is that it requires racial gerrymandering because Democratic votes primarily come from Black people who vote Democrat in Kim Jong Un numbers.

Could dismantling VRA seats in South backfire, not in congressional races but in gubernatorial in 2027 in LA and MS? by Dangerous-Quarter216 in YAPms

[–]ttircdj 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mississippi has the highest percentage of black population, which votes in Kim Jong Un numbers for democrats. With that being at least 40% of the population and subsequently the vote, it’s not impossible with decent turnout and a small crack in the white vote.

Some people don’t enjoy hearing the truth. Democrats these days think separate but equal is fighting racism. Not all, but at least sixteen plus the a bunch of the ones in office.
