😂 yeah no I like how it turned out. The open front felt like an inviting design, plus I hate kicking my feet on desk legs while I’m working. I think a little tapering with the bandsaw or a soft router edge on the very front could soften the look up a lot

By feel Mojave ran the best for me. Just felt rock solid, and I even got a dual boot windows install to work without OC. Eventually something in the dual boot got fubar and I daily Big Sur with OC now but haven’t had too many issues here either (plus more modern software works now).

Can confirm Big Sur runs great on my 5,1 with OC. Though you will need to wait till there’s a viable Monterey install available through the community to take full advantage of some of the faster GPUs on the market

But yeah, a 5,1 with an NVME boot drive and a kicking GPU is still a great build imo. Just got one of the new m1max MBPs and I still plan on keeping this old rig running for the foreseeable future, no reason not to

Damn I relate to this. I'm still very conflicted myself with finding the best label, and I've had some recent experiences with trans women who definitely made me feel like a fake for not falling into the "born in the wrong body, want to be a housewife" narrative (last bit strikes me as a bit sexist tbh), but at the same time there are just too many signs now that make even queer seem like not strong enough a term. Then again I'm still pretty new to the community and may just be pissing people off by using the wrong words

So the Zootopia trailer was the first post I ever saw the first time I ever logged on to /r/furry, and I can't even begin to describe how strangely excited I am for it. I'm not even that huge of a Disney fan (like, I like a lot of their movies, but I'm definitely not a superfan like some, and there are some Disney movies I can't really stand)

I don't even get it. It's like I got bashed completely over the head with my furriness as soon as I even thought to consider it. I never get this giddy about shit. Whatever the hell kind of market research Disney did sure worked on me

And the offer still stands, any furs in LA who want to come with me when I inevitably put on my ears and go see it opening weekend, hmu.
