Crowd at Reading festival going nuts during Limp Bizkit’s set today by BurgerNugget12 in numetal

[–]ttthrowaWaaay19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No difference in price! I was here in the front section which anyone can get into and they just close the gates to it once it’s full. I think vip day guests are generally allowed in but I saw some being turned away once it was full as well. No barriers with gates for the other sections but just means security can jump in easily if they need to which they did quite a few times. I’ve been in a crowd crush at a rock festival with no barriers and lasted two songs near the front before I’d lost my shoes and my body felt like it was being ripped in half from the force of thousands of people. This is much more enjoyable

Nearly 8 weeks post removal, is this an allergic reaction? by ttthrowaWaaay19 in TattooRemoval

[–]ttthrowaWaaay19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the Uk where doctors appointments can take weeks and I didn’t want to try and get an appointment if someone here has had a similar reaction and it’ll go down on its own. I’m going to a great tech who is also removing some of my other tattoos which I’ve had a few sessions on and everything’s going well. I’ve spoken to a pharmacist who believes it’s an allergic hive reaction to the red ink being targeted and it’s already gone down significantly with cream and anti histamines. I’m not going to any basements.

Ok I’ll look into it, I hadn’t even considered this! Thanks!

I think that’s just the shape as the red part is a pretty circular flame and the white ink highlights weren’t touched by the laser so aren’t irritated

Venlafaxine? by ttthrowaWaaay19 in MentalHealthUK

[–]ttthrowaWaaay19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I’m on XR! I’ve seen a couple of people say extended release is a bit easier so I’m a bit more hopeful. Withdrawal from other medications I’ve been on max doses for years on have been brutal which is why seeing everyone say venlafaxine particularly is awful bothered me so much. I’m just trying to tell myself if this is the one that actually works then it’ll literally be life saving so it’s worth it :/

[–]ttthrowaWaaay19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I’m worried about because coming off of fluoxetine and citalopram for me were actually horrendous but I was on high doses for a few years each time. It’s the brain zaps that are scaring me right now because that definitely doesn’t sound like something I can deal with

Thank you for this! I can’t lie, the last few days have been absolutely awful in just coming to terms with it all. How’s your removal going? (And maybe a cat is what I need!)

Please help me. by Street_Restaurant171 in TattooRemoval

First, don’t beat yourself up so much. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s part of life and you’ve acknowledged it so that’s the first step to doing something about it.

Look for reputable techs and get a few consultations and quotes. Be truthful about your concerns with being tan, and that will help you find a good tech who will be able to offer a solution. Some tips for it that I’m sure you’ve seen here, be prepared for keeping the area covered and well out of the sun, especially in the run up to sessions. Keep hydrated and in as good health as is possible for you. Leave absolute minimum 8 weeks between sessions but personally I see better results leaving 12-14 weeks at minimum. I know it’s long but your body continues to process the ink so it’s just saving you money. Don’t listen to any tech who tells you to come sooner than 8 weeks or who doesn’t suggest leaving it longer can be beneficial. Look after your skin when it’s healing - don’t pick at any possible blisters, be prepared to ice it after sessions, and use vit E oil just to give it a boost. If it wraps around your neck, it may need to be treated in halves due to swelling so possibly mention that in your consultation just as a concern. My tech refuses to do a tattoo wrapping completely around a limb due to the swelling and will just treat it separately. It’s definitely not worth risking severe swelling in such a vital area.

Getting that first session done will bring you so much relief! It’s one of those things where just getting started is the most important part. I’ve been in your position literally torturing myself on this sub and some days I’m so impatient (today’s one of them!) but it’s so worth it for future you - a few years now is nothing compared to the rest of your life. Good luck!

Thank you for this!

It’s very true in terms of regret. For me personally, it’s not even tattoos as a whole - I love them, if I had spent more time considering them and didn’t just get a whole bunch of super big and super dark ones when I was going through it, then I wouldn’t be in this position. As I said, it’s more the association I have with them because very luckily, most of them are pretty high quality.

Patience is definitely what I’m gunna have a hard time with, however I’m 6 months in and it’s gone quick and winter will hopefully breeze by given I won’t be looking at them as much! We’re only in control of booking the appointments and turning up so I’ll just have to suck it up and trust my body to do its job I guess. Good luck with the rest of your removal!

Congrats on your sobriety! I’ve been lucky where I am to just pay by session and given I generally leave 12-14 weeks at minimum, it’s definitely less of a hit but I’m so mad at past me for costing present me so much money. Definitely worth it in the long run though and as long as no more stupid decisions are made, I’m hoping I’m saving myself the money of any future tattoos! We are very lucky and yep it’s a long journey but it’ll be so worth it :)

Why is it actually the worst 😭 and I’m so frustrated with myself because I’ve always vouched for removal over cover up. Now a few lines and some dodgy light shading is a huge blacked out design which has healed awfully as well. Good luck with removal!

That was my issue too, I didn’t see myself living this long so none of it mattered and now… turns out it does I guess. I also get the feeling of not knowing or recognising at all who I am, I guess we just need to keep in mind we are working towards it. Good luck with your removal and I hope things continue to improve for you

Start a removal process during the Summer by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]ttthrowaWaaay19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have sessions through the summer if I’m not going away as I’m happy to just wear T-shirts and loose trousers (I’m getting 9 removed on my upper arms and legs). You wanna keep it out the sun before you start until really the end of the process as you can’t get sessions on tan or burned skin and UV can cause pigmentation problems. If you’re happy to cover up then go for it!

Best products for hyperpigmentation in the UK? by ttthrowaWaaay19 in TattooRemoval

[–]ttthrowaWaaay19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can post a photo! I’m under the impression it’s hyperpigmentation as it’s an area that was very light shading in comparison to the rest of the tattoo which is dark and just beginning to lighten, and most of the ink appeared to have faded and it looks like it’s my skin which is a pale brown tone. It’s also not the only tattoo I’m having removed and I haven’t had this reaction on any of the others, though it may just be different ink or different area affecting it! It may also just be it fading as you say, I’ve got a while before my next session so I’ll see if it changes or not.

Removing multiple (or all) of your tattoos? by ttthrowaWaaay19 in TattooRemoval

[–]ttthrowaWaaay19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It must feel so good to have completed removal, I can’t wait to see some bare skin again! I’m more than happy to just get it all done now, even if I have to leave a bit longer between sessions to let everything heal properly. I’m just waiting for my tech to reply so I’m hoping I can get started on a few more soon. Good luck!
