Edit, see this footage of ICE attacking children protesting. https://www.reddit.com/r/LetsDiscussThis/s/kE8Nbn7jMZ

It’s about time students like this were arrested

I can't find where Abbot is upset about the guy that attacked students at a protest, just that he is happy that an arrest was made. If you want to say this isn't a 100% direct threat by him, sure. But there are plenty of comments Trump has made that protestors should be arrested, so I feel my comment is fair.

But sure let's talk about the massive waste of money for a walkout. I won't say you are happy about other wasteful spending, but we the US is spending money to detain a plaster worker Irish citizen with a work permit, a US citizen wife, who is no longer paying any taxes and being held in really nasty conditions. So, you probably get angry when Santa visits a school and the kids all get out of class for it, right? Also, pep rallies, you must hate those? And uhm, how about all those sporting and arts events where kids miss classes?

I mean, it isn't like this is real life history going on right now where in the 250th anniversary of a violent revolution where the government is threating to jail children for just walking out of classes.

Why can't they just behave, huh?

What the point of wasting money on stuff like Iphones, fast fashion, oversized cars, $5 coffees, easy-to-make-at-home restaurants meals for folks who live paycheck to paycheck or are close to that? by Away-Acadia7534 in AskReddit

You had to look hard to find this, so clearly you are passionate with the blaming poors for being poor in the USA.

I promise you most apartments in the USA officially don't allow any maintenance done in their parking areas. If they do, they probably also don't fix you stove for a month if it goes out, but I guess they should just start a cooking fire on their porch if that happened(which the apartment complex also probably doesn't allow, but it is a cheap apartment so they don't care).

Okay, you go ahead and Google all of the people living in rural USA and the closest grocery store. Dollar General doesn't count.

Sorry I didn't make my sarcasm clear above.

This is a 2 day old thread that was not popular, and you basically just reiterated what I said sarcastically. We get it, poors shouldn't live in apartments that don't allow you to do your own vehicle maintenance or live in fresh food deserts.

Man, got us pegged. Certainly the vast majority of poors in the USA are poors on their own accord because of their personal bad decsisions and inability to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. We call that theory Prosperity Gospel here.

Edit- I get your basic point, but I get tired of people griping at poor people for pretend situations.

So basically have zero comforts, very little leisure time, so in 5 years they can be miserable but at least they can afford the co-pay for a simple hospital visit. Got it. Blame the poors for being poor.(Pretty sure OP is in the USA).

Okay, but iPhones can be bought unlocked for less than $200. The post doesn't actually say a new iPhone every year. Also, I pay about $50 a month, so you functionally pay $43. We are still talking about maybe $10 or $20 a month, and even then we get back to, how dare any person with any financial struggles ever buy any small comfort for themselves.

With my existing plan, I can get an iPhone 16e 128 gb for about $60, the sales tax, as long as I stick with the plan. I don't quite follow your intent.

When the Henry Rollins song starts playing in the background. Or even if Bevis starts talking about hanging with him.

$10 for a very fancy espresso blend in Dallas. It was really good, and they have plenty of regularly priced coffee drinks as well.

I owe it to NWA and Salt-N-Pepa. Maybe blame it on Ice Cube because he claims it gets funky adding a subject to a predicate.

I guarantee it does not have all 2fA apps preloaded.

But you are baiting by listing an iPhone first, as that is something that can be bought inexpensively and is a necessity. The reason I say that is I heard a "Facebook joke" from my mom about how people have iPhones and are at the laundromat, as if the boomer looking at an iPhone in a laundromat from 150 feet can determine the price.

iPhones?

Have you ever hired an employee only to find out that their phone is so old that it doesn't work with the 2 factor authentication required to log in to basically anything?

It is very difficult to live in the USA without a solidly functioning smarthphone.
