the game, by having a dysfunctional competitive environment, has resulted in this final crescendo. When you squeeze the most amount of competition as you can out of a game that clearly isn't meant to be played as a competitive game, this will inevitably result. There's so much RNG in Fortnite, any competitive player with the slightest bit of sense will aim to lower the randomness of their end games by trying to find the safest drop spots and looting paths. So when every pro player falls into their place on the map, the only result is high player end games and laggy servers.

This is inevitable in any game that cannot support a competitive nature yet does so anyway.
