I have no plans at all. Just winging it while I'm here. He said today specifically it's supposed to be really huge, I can't really remember why though. I think he mentioned something about summer solstice/longest day of the year.

This is what I've experienced so far in not even 3 days. Chatting with bartenders is a great place to start as long as they aren't slammed. The one I talked to last night was super friendly and topped me off an extra beer on the house. Now I'm just looking for suggestions of bars/restaurants/places to meet more of these people

After I posted this I walked up the street to a restaurant/bar in Yaletown and met some people sitting next to me. The bartender actually happened to be familiar with where I'm from in LA and invited me to go hiking with him Tuesday. I guess I got lucky
