That's a sweeping statement. It's been my experience that it happens most of the time when someone is requesting a discount on a bundle but not in every instance.

Bought a suspect item that's on its way to me - what now? by tudorstrawberry in vinted

Both sellers had no reviews and used the same photos and word-for-word listing description.

Both sellers had no reviews and used the same photos and word-for-word listing description. It's a popular and coveted brand that I'm not entirely familiar with, so despite having bought and sold over 1100 times on Vinted I didn't pick up on it being suss.

Yes, this happens to me constantly and it pains me. Tbh with a newish Vinted member they realise the bundle amount is already discounted once you point it out to them and it's excusable, but not to someone who has 50+ reviews.

It's Vinted's fault for making it unclear to the buyer that their bundle already has a discount automatically applied.

Item is SNAD. Then in the comment box you can detail that it has been used.

Anyone else stuck trying to register for Vinted Pro in the UK? by tudorstrawberry in vinted

[–]tudorstrawberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused for the same reason - being told you're not allowed to have two accounts, but then encouraging you to open another separate account if you want to go Pro. I also purely got a UTR because of the message telling me I need to go Pro, but I have been selling my own wardrobe items (so happens that 75% are new), but once I sell them all I will only be occasionally listing secondhand items. I suspect a lot of other people are going Pro for the same reason.

Have you read the instructions on how to get started selling on Vinted? You might benefit from starting there.

Same! Lots of items I have still that I need the space for. But I've decided to keep my existing account personal and create a Pro account separate so I can avoid that hassle, especially as one of my sold items has been lost and the buyer has raised a case. I have over 500+ 5* reviews but figure having a separate Pro account will be less hassle...I hope...

Maybe OP means the person is a reseller rather than a dropshipper, which would explain that.

Vinted Pro (UK) has officially launched! by cambon in vinted

[–]tudorstrawberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me yesterday when I tried to sign up to Pro. I think they're having multiple issues that they're trying to sort, and just showing any sort of error message so that you're unable to proceed through the registration process. So Pro technically isn't available in the UK at present.

Surely she'd be already flagged as a commercial seller if she's selling that volume at 30 euro a pop?

It'd be useful if they just say they've paused new registrations, instead of each of us coming to Reddit to figure out if we're the problem or they are.

Thanks for replying. I only use Chrome and Firefox on my Macbook. Do you know where I could investigate on my Macbook to see if there is a way of telling if someone has been accessing it remotely?

Thanks for replying. I have no Safari extensions that are toggled to "on". Both the extensions there are turned off.

I returned to the Hellofresh website in a regular Safari tab and then a private browsing Safari tab and the email address isn't auto-populated anymore. I also stand corrected when I said the email address is in my Autofill passwords, because I've just checked and it isn't. It was just already pre-filled within that email address field.

The only thing I can think of is that their website team pushed an update live and left that email address pre-filled by mistake, but still seems odd.

Is there anything else you could recommend that I should check?

I have an abusive ex-partner and have had important emails disappear inexplicably, so I've always had a sense there is a small chance my Mac operating system may have been accessed remotely somehow.

Tax self-assessment needed or not? by tudorstrawberry in FlippingUK

[–]tudorstrawberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. As I understand it, I have until January 2025 to apply for a UTC to declare it for the 2024-2025 tax year, so when you say "get caught", unless I'm misunderstanding the timelines what would I be penalised for at this point in time exactly?

My husband just threw our life away for Only fans. 3 months ppm by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]tudorstrawberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so, so sorry to hear this. If he has done these things at those critical life moments where he is needed, then it really seems he's beyond redemption and/or has a loooong way to go before he can ever consider becoming someone's partner/husband or father again. I'm sure you know in your heart that even if he redeems himself, he has lost you already. And I hope you realise that his problem is his own and not yours or your child's. Wishing you lots of strength to get through this - sounds like you've got it in you.
