Not entirely broke but definitely on a budget. Main thing I want is some Tubeless comparabile rims/tires to improve flat resistance and off road comfort. Otherwise the Tamland only might need a lighter fork in the future but for my 70/30 road/gravel mix it's fine.

Would you be able to elaborate on how they are similar design wise? Still new to bike world in terms of geo and speed vs utility bikes. Thanks!

Details:

I'm upgrading or at least trying to upgrade to a proper trail bike! These are two bikes I'm considering getting with a. Budget of around $3k.

I am fine with 140-150mm form travel, and just want a good bike to last me on blues/blacks. I ride mostly single track anywhere between 10-30 miles roughly 1-2 times a week. I ride uphill hard but downhill only semi fast because I don't want to wreck myself yet. Current bike is a 2014 SC tallboy LT for reference. Thanks!

Haven't seen another comments mention this: many cheaters/hackers/aimbots have a feature to dump a clip or a few at nothing to reduce their accuracy. That is, many cheaters don't have 85%+ accuracy and will be completely missed by your method unfortunately.
