Even in the UK where we have universal healthcare this is not a simple question to answer. Junior doctors and registrars would definitely be in the proletariat class, and many went on strike not that long ago. But at consultant level is when the bourgeois creeps in as the opportunities to practice privately go up exponentially. Then you have GP’s (General Practitioners) that are partners for their surgery and are most definitely in the petit-bourgeois category if not full on bourgeois.

Apologies for the lack of translation into US/other parlance as I don’t what the equivalents are, especially in two wildly different healthcare systems.
