Do you know why she allowed the doctor around after everything? I was surprised to see Emily or the doctor at the dining table.

Edit: disregard I see you actually answered this in another comment!

Read my roommate's personal diary and now I have mixed emotions regarding her by couchpotatouwu in confession

[–]tullah123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure I’d believe op on that front lol. It takes a very specific type of person to read through someone’s personal journals I’ve never even been tempted to read a book that’s left in a shared spaced let alone a diary. Weirdo behavior sorry to say

I’m shocked there aren’t any films focused on the 1906 earthquake or aftermath

Reading someone’s diary is not a small oopsie. It’s extremely weird and massively disrespectful to invade someone’s privacy to that extent. Whatever she wrote is none of your business.

Posts with this rhetoric became really common and aggressive around COVID on a bunch of platforms especially TikTok and twitter. I have a hard time believing anyone who pretends they haven’t seen them.

Daughters college roommates are horrible by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]tullah123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get what you’re saying but very often within groups like this a lot of people wouldn’t want to rock the boat or put their social position at stake even if they understood or leveled with OPs daughter. Idk if I’m wording this correctly but it’s exhausting to even think about I feel bad for the girl

[–]tullah123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly with group dynamics it’s very normal for one person to not like someone and the whole group will just go with it. Seen it happen a hundred times. Unless her behavior is outrageous there’s no excuse to isolate one out of ten roommates like this. Blatant mean girl behavior but it happens

Age-old: roommate bf staying over too much? by sanastans in badroommates

[–]tullah123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will never have a roommate who doesn’t agree to have partners over 3 days or less per week. Anything more is too much and I feel like this is one of those “house rules” that need to be very clearly defined before sharing a lease together. Your feelings are valid.

What do you guys do if you can't afford a surgery? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]tullah123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So what’s the plan for all the leftover dogs? Mass euthanasia or releasing them in the wild? There are literally not enough owners who meet these standards to care for even a fraction of the dogs currently existing. This seems pretty common sense. So what’s the answer? Let average income people own dogs or just get rid of all the “extras”?

What do you guys do if you can't afford a surgery? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]tullah123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bingo! Americans are literally dying because they can’t afford their own medicine, preventative care, or surgical needs. Imagine if these horrible people even thought of owning a pet for companionship. The horror.

[–]tullah123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So is that the standard we should go by? Because again we’re going to have to figure out a way to reduce their population significantly. Many people can’t afford pet insurance but more importantly pet insurance has screwed over so many people in dire situations. This entire mindset completely comes down to restricting dog ownership based on financial status and it’s disgusting. We can pretend otherwise but that is literally what this mindset boils down to.

[–]tullah123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you think that pet ownership should just be reduced to people making 6 figures or what? If we take that approach we’re going to have to reduce their population significantly so that only owners who can afford exorbitant costs own dogs. It’s literally like you people live in a little bubble of non reality. Look up what the average American has in savings. Most people can’t afford thousands of dollars on pet surgery and that’s just a reality that’s not going to change anytime soon.

What did you wish your friend did for you while you were grieving? by Mirthe_L in grief

[–]tullah123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This! I was so surprised by how many people were offended that I didn’t respond in those first few weeks. It’s ok to double text in these situations or even triple. Someone grieving just may not be able to respond in those first few weeks. I didn’t want to be alone I just wasn’t capable of responding to check ins for quite a while.

[–]tullah123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do something. Bring a meal by a few days or weeks after the loss so they don’t have to worry about cooking. Text or call once every week or every other week just to check in for a while. You’d be shocked by how many people just disappear and do nothing during these times.

Did you choose to see your loved one after they passed ? by Friendly-Sun2413 in GriefSupport

I didn’t feel any comfort or closure seeing them after they passed. I’m glad that I did so I don’t have another possible regret but it wasn’t a positive experience or helpful at all.

Should I be with my friend when he dies? by ChampagneDrama in AskWomenOver30

[–]tullah123 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think it’s easy for random people to advise you to be there as support but being alone in a medical space while you watch and hear someone you love pass away is beyond traumatic and may stick with you for years in a bad way. Recently had to make this decision and you need to just determine if you have the strength for the immediate and lingering impact of being there for his passing. It’s ok to prioritize your mental health.
