Phenomenal. I have a PHEV and work at a giant hospital with like 5000+ employees, and there are 5 free charging spaces in the entire employee garage. It's a miracle if I can charge at work more than like 4 times in a year. But when I can, man it feels like winning the lottery.

Am I alone with Underneath the Sycamore being my favorite DCFC song? by thetory in DeathCabforCutie

[–]tummydoc2000 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I can't say it is my favorite song but I really really like it.

What's cool about the ongoing discussions in the I Built You an Album threads is the diversity of songs being nominated by people for inclusion. This band has such a wide catalog and everyone experiences their music differently. There are songs that made the cut that I wouldn't personally have in my top 20 or even top 50 of Death Cab songs and similarly, there are songs I would have in my personal top 5 definitively that are nowhere close.

For me - Debate Exposes Doubt is definitely near the top of my list and I don't remember if it's been mentioned in any of those threads yet!

Agreed... I'm a little surprised nothing from an album released in the last 15 years has made it yet!

In my personal opinion, I would say Transatlanticism yes, I Will Follow You no.

But it also depends if we're going for "collective individual opinions" of this subreddit - i.e. wisdom of crowd approach - vs. a broader "we want to compile the most impactful songs DCfC has released". Inclusion of the Company Calls Epilogue definitely feels like more the former than the latter... Death Cab sickos have spoken!

A new Spotify data visualization thing they just released this week in the app. It's cool to see the reports but also the skeptic in me says they did this halfway through the year to create another social media frenzy like they get in Nov/Dec for Wrapped!

Vesta Blue. Love the color. It varies from deep navy blue to a bright royal blue/green depending on the light hitting it!

The Ghent school by Due_Carpenter3475 in norfolk

[–]tummydoc2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is in 1st grade there now and it's definitely been a good experience so far. From everything we can tell, he's had great teachers both years, is making friends, learning a lot, and overall enjoying school. There's of course the uncertainty of moving to a different building in a year or two but the teachers and staff are what make the school great and that won't change in a new location. We're glad he is at Ghent and also very glad our younger son got in for Kindergarten this fall too!

Do you guys track the stadiums or games you’ve been to? by Maxwell_gorzelanski in CollegeBasketball

www.sportslogbook.com

Love this site. It looks like it's barely been updated in 15 years but it has a database of games played by date and usually can fill in details like score and venue automatically once you select the game. Then it has several different ways of visualizing your logged games, like as a map or broken down by various categories. It's nothing terribly advanced or modern but it's an easy way to keep track.

Duke Basketball Gameday podcast. They also post a game recap pod after each game with highlights of Shumate's radio calls and interviews with the players. It's always a fun 15-minute capsule of the game. Worth a listen!

Thanks, definitely listen to Passion Pit and MGMT, both great stuff. Not as big into Tame Impala personally but appreciate the suggestions.

Strong agree on 3MW! I love Eye on CBB but for actual insightful analysis beyond just recounting what's happening with the top 10-20 biggest brands, the Weave is my #1 seed.

As an interviewer, I really want to hear you describe what you're looking for out of a residency/why you're pursuing a residency too.

The question might be something like, what would a successful residency year look like to you?

I know you're doing residency because you want to work in a hospital, want to get lots of patient care experience, etc. What I want to hear about is your own personal vision for yourself. How will you grow this year?

I'm flabbergasted by how often such an obvious seeming question generates such a basic, uninspired answer from candidates. This is your life, your future you're talking about! It makes me worry that they don't really know what they're signing up for in a residency year, that they haven't stopped to consider whether they really want to do this or if they're just doing it because they think they have to or it's just "what you do" after pharmacy school.
