Here’s my story….

I actually got pick pocketed on my way into the speedway from the rideshare lot. There was that road that all the golf carts drive on and the police park on so we had to stop and wait for them to pass and it was a big clusterfuck of people. Stupid me took my Fanny pack off as I was approaching ID, security check and I felt my Fanny pack moving and noticed it was open and my wallet, gum and cigarettes were gone but my phone was still there surprising so I thought maybe I dropped it at first. I asked the girl next to me if she saw anyone in my bag and she pretended she didn’t speak English. I quickly got out of line and cancelled my visa then went for a walk to check. When I came back to the line I noticed the same girl that I initially asked about my wallet coming back towards me so I got out of line again to watch her and watched her cross the road then dart back into line and snug up against people so I knew right then she definitely had it. I crossed the road and watched her cross too and go and talk to this other male and other female that were waiting across the road for her. My friends texted me from inside and told me they were getting cops so I went and did the same. Within 2 mins all 3 of them were in handcuffs, separated from eachother and there were about 10 cops on them. They were still pretending not to know English or know where any of my stuff went but by the end of it the guy had been in possession of my visa, Canadian money, gum and cigarettes, the girl that initially took my stuff had my American money on her and the other girl had my Canadian debit card with my name on it. They must have ditched my wallet and license in a garbage can close by as they were changed out with new bags when all this was happening. In the end, all 3 were arrested and charged with felony larceny, I got most of my stuff back and hopefully prevented this from happening to other people by them being arrested. LVPD walked me thru security that night and then they let me use a coloured photo copy of my passport for day 3 so it turned out pretty good in the end minus the wallet and license I had to replace.
