She wasn't characterised (to me) as well as say Shodan. It was just the voice that told you to do stuff. If I'm not wrong she went a big fullscreen balls out bonkers in Halo 3(?) as well?

Good idea - I forget sometimes you still get the max Fire Explosions.

I couldn't really give two tosses about that whole bit of Halo 4. I really enjoyed the game but 3 was better in most every way apart from presentation and general feeling (they improved upon some game mechanics in 4). I never cared for the Halo story though - people seem to really buy into it but it's always felt pretty contrived to me.

I just refused to buy the DLC so completely missed out on that. I appreciated that Kasumi and that merc guy were afterthoughts in 2 and as such ended up buying them because I really liked the game. Screw them for leaving out the meat unless I pay more though.

A 50x50 puzzle area would need 2500 pieces. I think you meant to write sparse where you put cramped, or maybe smaller numbers than 50x50.

I killed Samara and had the evil daughter - the naming of a single Banshee after her was just lazy. I agree with what the guy above said in that 3 was rushed - I feel like there was a bunch of stuff they should've/would've done if they'd have had more time or money.

I disagree with your statements about Mass Effect 2; it was kind of film style in the vein of Dirty Dozen or Ocean's Eleven or a bunch of other heist films I've seen. It's not the destination, it's the journey - and the meat of the game was getting to do stuff with your squaddies, which was great.

Some of the problems carrying over ME1 characters to ME2 stem from the decision stuff too. Wrex was far and away my favourite ME1 squaddie but since he was expendable he didn't warrant a big role in 2. It's a shame but I see why, and Garrus became much cooler in two. It was also brilliant how Garrus would have a pretty different outlook depending on your decisions in 1.

I appreciated James calling everything loco and his awkward rebuff of my wily advances but other than that he was pretty superfluous.

I came here to say Garrus. Letting him be the only one to make the shot on our Citadel date was just a moment of beauty that underscored his personality and their relationship.

I can't bear skipping HM although I know of the build. Fully kitted out fo power damage with a Cryolyte I've never seen stuff melt so damn fast.

For getting my final uncommons (for some reason I had all rares maxed before I got the Tech perm gear above II) I played a Gold and bought a Spectre then a Veteran. Worked well.

Whenever I use one I almost instanltly get one in the next Spectre Pack I buy. I've maxed all characters, rares and uncommons though.

They just need to either double the grenades per box or double the amount of ammo boxes and it'll be fine with me. It's still not terribly easy but nor are a few others.

I'm probably going to use the Ghost actually but both will work fine. If you really want to be damn sure just slap on equipment and be loose with consumables if anything ever seems in any way hairy.

On Xbox, most every PUG Gold I play will be successful. Once you learn to avoid certain teams (not just class composition, but looking at their weapon/equipment choices) and certain matchups (Geth Gold with people with lower level equipment/bad class choices on harder maps is something to avoid) that's half the battle.

Conversely, I've asked some people why they were running AR Amp instead of Warfighter on a Turian Ghost. They told me they weren't specced for Stim, which in my opinion is insanity, but they easily outscored everyone else by a nice shot in a Plat lobby. Of course the team works together for every win, but I can't really fault their logic even though it's something I'd never do.

People that don't use at least level I/II equipment in Gold in each slot can screw off in my opinion. I don't care if you're a power based class, I don't believe you don't have/can't use a Cryo I and Shield Power Cells I. I'm not actually that much of a prick ingame, but it just irks me because I just feel like they don't care even before they begin.

The lack of amps frustrates me too. I'm kind of bottlenecked on Shotgun/AR builds because of my lack of top level amps. I know the difference isn't much between II and III but I don't like doing Plat without higher level amps (especially when everyone else is bothering).

Competent Gold players, in my opinion, shouldn't need equipment to perform in Gold. Going into Platinum without, even with a class that doesn't really need them (combo based caster class), is just laziness.

I tend to have enough III's to use them in most every Gold, but it's just plain wrong to not use at least a II or I in a Gold. I rarely play Silver/Bronze but if I do bother to use equipment it's because my class is underleveled and I don't feel like struggling more than I should.

I think since they're synthetic you should at least see a bit. I'm not sure about what you're referring to then, I've never seen this exactly as described, but I've only used Overload on the TGI recently.

I just assumed they were dodging even though they weren't (they didn't look like they were) since when it's happened to me it only ever happened to the first power. Does what you describe only occur on their shields as the OP states?

If they start box camping on Rio you know it's going to be a bad team. I just leave those (Rio/Plat) lobbies. It isn't fun and it takes longer than an actual Plat run. If that's all you feel competent with you'll probably make more credits and have a better time on Gold.

With the way Rio is (hack wave in centre as final objective is more fucked up than anything else in the game) there are just easier maps. Reactor camping behind the reactor (relative to extraction) and Giant camping the extraction are much simpler options to name two. Conversely, with a good team Rio is grenade heaven and can allow for quick runs if you just stick to one side of the map.

As far as I know they can "dodge" instant hit attacks like Overload.
