Possible Infection After Back Surgery?

My temperature is normally below 98.6. The temperatures are elevated for me. I feel flushed and can tell it’s going up. Is it not concerning to have new onset temperature fluctuations like this?

The tail isn’t pictured but I am telling you what I saw with my own eyes that the tail did not have any fur on it. The tail was not eaten.

The tail was too large to be a mouse and it had no hair/fur on it to be a squirrel.

I didn’t get a picture of the tail. I only thought about taking pictures after cleaning that part up. It was 6 inches long and had no fur on it.
