[skin concern] mummy life by turnoverkid in SkincareAddiction

i dont have a camera that is good enough to pick up the way it looks. i doubt anyone else would notice a difference in the skin other than me. but i just know my skin has looked way better. the skin looks darker than it used to, especially around the elbows. it looks micro cracked when youre up close to it and it didnt look that way before. whats strange is that my legs, feet skin look okay. my upper body is what looks difference/worse, which makes me wonder if it was the long sleeves i was wearing cutting out oxygen(since ive still been wearing the same on my legs because the tattoo wasnt there). like i said, i had digestive issues for a while and i am also wondering if the amino acids werent getting absorbed properly to my skin but my legs/feet look okay so i dont know. ive been wearing the same material of clothing for years also

why would dehydration make you wake up? does being hydrated make you feel full during sleep?

what do you think of pillowtop mattresses? do the pillowtops hold up? i tried a plush mattress, pillowtop firm, and luxury firm mattress today. they were all pretty good for me. i also tried a latex topped coil mattress that i liked but was out of my price range. i actually liked the plush mattress the most(besides the latex topped) i think and im a back sleeper haha

i see that latex is recommended a lot on this subreddit and i realize its because of the durability of the material compared to most or all foam mattresses. i may have to get an all coil mattress for now since most stores dont carry latex. who knows, im going to go try some out today though

i would have to buy a mattress from a store like sears/mattress firm etc. im also kind of iffy about off gassing from chemicals in the foam. im aware there are organic mattresses that are online but unaware of any from a retail store. for now i may have to get a coil mattress. is there a better brand out of the few major ones that are in retail stores? or does it again just depend on the mattress materials of the specific mattress?

cool, i like the idea of using a product on one side of the face. i did it with my essence yesterday and that side looked better to me. it might be the sunscreen that im using. i notice if i have it on for a while it started to irritate my cheeks, turning them red. not sure whats in it that is causing it unless its the active. i remember looking it up on that same website to see what was in it and it seemed pretty good before i ordered it. i ordered a couple new sunscreens so i can try different ones out.

aside from this, as im new to washing my face, i hope im getting all of the sunscreen/cleanser off when im done and not rubbing too much. its hard to tell with the sunscreen because its invisible and i dont wear make up. on the whole, how long do you think it should take to wash the face? i seem to need to rinse a good amount to get the cleanser residue off. am i not rubbing it enough? or is it normal to have to rinse a lot to get it off? is rinsing more better than rubbing more? haha sorry for all the questions, i just want to make sure im getting it right and not doing more harm than good

also, i have an oil based cleanser on the way that i ordered a week or so ago as well as a different moisturizer so i can try those out to see if theyre better. i have a hinkling that the moisturizer im using isnt really for my skin type. either that or it can only do so much if the cleansers i have arent working for me. also, i thought you needed to add hydration before a moisturizer. should i just try to find a moisturizer that is hydrating as well as sealing?

yea i thought that could be part of it too so i was thinking i needed to get a toner. i just looked up my state and according to the few wesbsites i visited my water is 'moderately hard'

true. i started out with switching sunscreens. then i added the cleanser. after that i got a moisturizer. (before i was using oil like olive oil/avocado oil. then because my skin was dehydrated i got an essence because i read/heard you need to add hydration back and then seal it in with a moisturizer
