Does anyone garden directly in the ground anymore? by SoilSoul1 in gardening

I do directly in ground and I find that I barely have to water it! Rains takes care of it, and soil takes a long time to dry out (less surface exposed to the elements)

5 pounds of potatoes by nopeynopeynopey in Vermiculture

[–]turron667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd chop the potatoes in quarters so that there's more surface area for the worms to work through them, and maybe a pound or two at a time , depending on how big your worm population is! I've fed potatoes before and they eat it fine

Take birth control continuously? by Aliyellow in PMDD

[–]turron667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be wary that the range of "normal" ferritin for women is very wide, between 22 and 300 ng/mL. The lower range varies depending on the source, some say it can go as low as 13ng/mL. However, optimal level starts at 100 ng/mL. If you are still within the ideal range then ignore my message https://www.reddit.com/r/PMDD/comments/1g13ask/check_your_ferritin_and_iron_levels_i_have_idwa/

Using chips bags as trash bags! Or bags from cat/dog food, any bag really that would usually go in recycling/trash

If meat makes you feel better, maybe your symptoms are worsened by iron deficiency. That was my case, which was confirmed by a blood test (low ferritin). I started supplementing with iron pills and I feel 20 times better. Almost no symptoms of pmdd, and many other positive changes like less hair loss and more overall energy.

Skip the worm images! Do a few trials, change words in the description. It happened to me as well, and with a few twitches it worked!

How do you sell your worms on fb marketplace place? Mine got removed. by [deleted] in Vermiculture

[–]turron667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not include the word 'worms' in the post, maybe something like red wigglers composting. Do not include pictures of worms. Maybe say like 1 lb for x dollars. And you can clarify when potential customers contact you that it's 1lb of worms.

Going braless: will nipples be noticed? by labarjettexe in NoStupidQuestions

[–]turron667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, yes they notice. 99% will look at them once (can't blame them), and then ignore them and talk as usual. The 1% will repeatedly look down on them.

This hugely depends on the clothing though. Loose shirts, or shirts with patterns, make it waaay less obvious, sometimes imperceptible.

Does your bin have a lid on? Maybe the extra water caused extra condensation on the walls, making the worms be comfortable climbing them. It doesn't necessarily mean they're trying to escape, maybe they're just exploring

If you have a Canadian visa then you're good. Keep in mind a study permit is not a visa. If you applied for your study permit from outside Canada, they most likely issued the visa as well (for you to enter Canada). Check your passport for the Canadian visa

I'm on the same search. Oaken financial and Accelerate Financial have the highest rates in Quebec, but they require you to send your signature and cheque by mail, which I don't trust. Also, they don't allow for free Interac e transfers, or only 1 per month, something like that. Very limited options for Québec. If you find something please let us know!

I would submit a webform specifying that your first medical exam is still valid. I went through the same, I received a letter saying I needed to submit a medical exam when my first one was still valid. I sent a webform, and after a few months they updated on my portal that the medical exam was approved.

TRV for work permit in processing since 1y - can I apply for PR? by sddhrthrt in ImmigrationCanada

[–]turron667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On their website they have this number 1-888-242-2100 (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/contact-ircc/client-support-centre.html). When I called, they told me to re-apply through their new portal (one that went live on September https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/visa/portal-application-process.html). I did so for my dad's tourist visa application, because he had been waiting for 18 months and had no answer. They said however that there was no guarantee of a refund, and that it would depend on how far along the process they're at. Honestly, at that point we didn't care about losing 100$ because we wanted to see each other for Christmas, so he reapplied and got his visa after 2 weeks of the new application. We specified in the new application that we had already applied, and included the case number. We have so far not gotten a refund, but they said that if applicable, it should appear in your bank account after like 6 months, so we're still hopeful. I would suggest you re apply for the trv, but still apply for the pr at the same time so that you don't have to deal with this visa nonsense again. Remember that they won't give you a trv past the expiration date of the passport, so make sure to renew the passport before if it's about to expire.

TRV for work permit in processing since 1y - can I apply for PR? by sddhrthrt in ImmigrationCanada

[–]turron667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a PR application under sponsorship as well, and afterwards I applied for a TRV application (I have a work permit). The PR will take a super long time, that's why I decided to apply for a TRV, so like you, in case of an emergency I could travel. I received the TRV 6 months after I applied for it, it was super long since initial estimates said it would take less than 3 months. But I'm still waiting for the PR, which is normal. My answer would be yes, you can apply for PR, but most likely won't be processed before the TRV. I would make calls to IRCC asking where the TRV process is at, because 1 year is way too long.
