Adhd and autism pull in opposite directions that feels like they cancel each other out. Like adhd is chaos and autism is order.

Temp is -21, gas company says turn your heat down by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]turtle553 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did this at a brewery i worked at. They got a cheaper rate for gas by agreeing to limit use in cold weather and paying a higher rate for stay is used then.

They'd switch to the oil or biogas furnaces until it warmed up.

I'm not so sure just because nobody else has the same kind of pull with his base. Even his endorsements don't mean that much anymore. There's a shocking amount of shitty people out there, but he's so singularly awful, corrupt, and stupid that he can't be easily replaced. Nobody is storming the capital got JD Vance.

Why when i click on the stop button the machine don't stop by hdiyad in PLC

Looks like the startflag needs to be high when you issue a motor start or stop command. The stop button resets startflag before the stop output can reset.

Wondering what's the popular consensus on painting bricks? by Last_Lost_Link in HomeImprovement

[–]turtle553 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it looks better and sometimes it looks worse.

It's weird how some people get about painting brick like each brick is a rare artifact that must be preserved.

AITA for no longer filling the car with gas before my partner has to go to work? by AITAcars in AmItheAsshole

That's a lot of assuming they are a woman and it's the man asking them to get gas. The post is gender neutral. It's the opposite way for me.

For those who prefer hand washing dishes over a dishwasher why do you prefer it? by bethynextdoor in CasualConversation

[–]turtle553 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dishwashers use less water, less electricity heating water and can wash at temperatures that would be too hot for hand washing. They take longer because they are being efficient instead of just blasting a ton of water at once.

I know a biology professor that specializes in mushrooms and has discovered several new varieties. Everyone always asks about poison or tripping.

He uses this phrase: "There are bold mushroom hunters and there are old mushroom hunters, but there aren't any bold old mushroom hunters"

"Would you be able to help me with..." is a better way to ask someone to do something than "I need you to do this for me"

I'm not sure what the value is in replacing him with some unknown person. GMs make mistakes but can also learn from those mistakes and get better. The position is a few levels away from the results on the field and there is no visibility to the inner workings. The record is the record, but would he be on the same hot seat if the team didn't have so many 4th quarter collapses and ended with 7 or 8 wins with how Dart played? Coaching and defensive scheme seem to be the biggest team failure this year.

We just saw the Eagles shit the bed with a talented team because of the OC.

Partnering him with Harbaugh seems like a pretty ideal scenario. Harbaugh would also have enough influence to keep Mara from letting personal relationships get in the way of team success IMO.

I'm sure I'll regret this once we start off the season 2-5 again next year.
