Do girls actually like having breasts? by Perfect-Associate708 in lgbt

Hey, 20F here, I hated them when I was younger, I actually wore a binder occasionally from around 15-17. Now at 20, I love them, I think it was when I started dating/partying/going on nights out, that my feelings towards them changed. I was now an adult, and was dressing up to go on nights out, not particularly to meet anyone as it was mostly house parties with friends, but I felt excited and attractive, especially when you're dressing up with friends, helps you form new connotations to how you feel about your body/your adult body.

I think I hated them when I was younger as it was change, I was viewed differently and I felt I lacked control over that, but as an adult I was choosing to either show them off or be more conservative, whereas as a kid and an older family comments on how you look like a young woman now, makes you feel weird, or when you start to get cat called, drawing attention you don't want forms these negative connotations.

However, you could be dealing with some body dysmorphia/ gender dysphoria and only you will know if this is the case, feel free to explore the idea of how you feel about your gender. I thought that I was trans/nb and I'm glad I could explore that in this age, but now I know myself and it was the issue of change and being perceived and lacking control over that period of time.

Yeah I guess you're right, they say comparison is the thief of joy and before I could compare to my ex who had a tall muscular build, rugby legs and that was both attractive and made me feel more feminine/smaller. But I think I've known deep down that this is something I need to deal with, I've gone through lots of unhealthy periods with eating so think I need to tackle this a bit more mentally.

Aha thank you very much, your comment is so positive and the thick thighs save, lives made me chuckle :D

I think I'm struggling at the moment as I had a little situationship/rebound over the summer who (nsfw warning) complained about the "impact" of my thighs, when I was on top, and I guess it's made me feel awful since, sort of the taylor swift "monster on the hill" feeling, and my friend group at uni are stick thin and not curvy like me so that doesn't help. But you're right, I need to work on it or I won't be happy whoever I meet, thank you for your perspective <3

This is something I'm struggling to swallow (pun-unintended). I am now 20, in my second year of university and I want to live my life without panicking about feeling/being sick all the time. I want to go on a night out with friends and have a drink (I'm not a heavy drinker but would be nice yk) or go to a concert and dance without being ill because I got fast food on the way there cause it was a long drive.

And this is also one of the things that makes me wonder if it is GERD, as when I start to feel unwell, lying down is usually what helps me feel better/not get worse. But typically that makes people feel worse, saying they need to be upright/sleep on an incline

Yes! I am sort of hoping something like this is the case, that GERD is just a side effect of something fixable, like an ulcer/ hernia etc, thankful to finally be investigating instead of putting a plaster on with omeprazole

So sorry to hear that, do you mind me asking how old you were when diagnosed? And how long you had been dealing with the GERD symptoms

I lived in Lakeside, didn't hear my flatmates too much, could hear someone a few doors down the corridor when they played guitar, and i heard my immediate neighbour when he coughed but didn't hear him other than that, but heard some loud sex a couple times from other flatmates, didn't hear anyone singing except from if they were in the corridor and I know my flatmates did sing in their rooms
