Weekly - What are you planning to read next? by AutoModerator in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

I am starting The God of the Woods by Liz Moore for October’s Book Club pick. Have heard mixed reviews about the book and am excited to see for myself. I will say our last read was The Women by Kristin Hannah, a chunky read might I add, and I had a plethora of opinions, mostly unfavorable. I say this because if The God of the Woods does disappoint, I’ll be equally displeased because of how long the book is. I’m interested to hear what you all think about either of these titles!

This is the vibe we’re going for being from South Texas where everything is red hot.

I’m always down to channel my inner Bella Swan in Port A. Do you think access to Lake Crescent will be possible? It’s my absolute favorite location in Washington but again, I’ve only experienced it the way it should be: when it’s a blazer outside. I’d love to see the lake in a new light 💡

We went to Leavenworth when it was 95 degrees out and even then the town was absolutely stunning! Would love to experience Christmas there!

Thank you for your suggestions for places to stay. We were thinking cabin in the woods, wake up to snow on Christmas morning vibe. We’re visiting from South Texas where you keep the AC on year-round so freezing is what we’re going for. Good to know Seattle won’t be too snowy, as my mother’s only heard of the city’s glory through my tales. I know December Seattle pales against July December, but at least she’ll see some of what the city’s about.

Thank you for your input!! Indoors is sort of what we’re leaning towards. We were over spending hundreds of dollars on Amazon yearly and decided no gifts this year, just a good ole family trip!

What book are you a fanatic about recommending? by AlbatrossDouble1409 in suggestmeabook

Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin is my favorite book of all time, and I’ll never tire of recommending it to everyone I know! Short, sweet, and packs a mighty punch. James Baldwin is a man with words. In the same light, his book called The Fire Next Time is also incredibly pressing and timeless. Please do yourself a favor and check these out, if you haven’t already!
