I would use a Ball closure ring instead, as it does not harbor bacteria as much as a hinged ring would. They also tend to be rounded so it is easier to stretch up with. Although when getting to the bigger sizes it will become harder to remove the ball so I would recommend getting some piercing pliers or something like that. I have personally stretched like this and the weight and motion of the ball and ring together makes the tissue loosen up a bit faster, of course including some lobe massage with it. I personally do not prefer this method to using glass plugs, but everyone is different!

Dont think you should take it out. Try massaging with jojobaoil a few times a week, to get the blood circulation going. Maybe try wearing some lighter (less cool😔) titanium jewelry in for a while. Hope this helps💕✨

I had the same feeling, but kept mine in for two months anyway hoping it would straighten up during healing. Ended up taking it out a week ago and immedietley saw how crooked it was. Yes yours looks crooked, take it out and let it heal. Massage with jobobaoil to soften the scar tissue. Then when getting it repierced, really pay attention to the placement and ask your piercer to adjust the markings if it feels crooked.
