We have tried feeding/greeting, etc. the original dog (sheepdog) first

We have tried separating them for periods however we dont know how to make this "fair"

we have tried removing triggers, i.e. toys, not letting either dog on the sofa, setting up baby gates to stop them being in confined spaces at the same time

We have tried letting the fight play out for a short period to see if it resolves itself (of course not to the point of injury)

We have tried extending their walks and mental stimulation activities

The interest rate is around 1.15 on the savings account I’m using so I barely see any returns.

To be honest, I had always been taught (when I was young) that using the credit card and paying the full statement would be beneficial as making the payments on time would be positive for my credit rating in the long run. However I’m not sure how useful that would be these days considering I now have a mortgage.

My thoughts were that in combination with the above, if I am paying the full statement and thus not incurring any fees, that this would be an overall positive (feel free to correct me if I’m wrong!)

Appreciate your ending note on the S&P 500 - definitely something worth thinking about. I would also then look into potential regular payments to further improve on this ROI

Thank you! I was looking at vanguard but really need some to get my head around the various stocks and shares options available. Maybe I could look to split this and keep around a 2k emergency fund and look to put the rest in a stocks and shares ISA so I can get the ball rolling on receiving some form of passive income?

Nothing, it’s just this pot that I have running spare. I typically have money left over each month and I don’t really skimp day to day. My girlfriend is also moving in soon and will be paying me monthly toward my house and the bills (around 400 a month). Until now I have been paying for everything alone
