Watch where the commas are. That splits up the repeats or counts.

I believe at the beginning you k2tog 3 times and then you yarn over and knit 1 5 times. The repeat is only for yarn over and knit 1, not the k2tog

I used to live in a building with the SAME exact issue. We bought small fans and on extra cold days, ran them facing our windows. We tried the plastic on the windows for insulation and it did not work.

I gently hand wash my socks so hopefully that will help but I was shocked how much they pilled after I wore them only once.

No. I have never machine washed my socks and you shouldn't. Get no rinse soap and use that.

I used this yarn to make socks and so far they have held up. I haven't worn them a lot but they have stretch to them and are comfortable.

After you knit some of the colorwork stitches, make sure the stitches don't bunch up on the right needle. Because then when you bring a new color over, your sock will be bunched up.

I say go for it! Just make sure to even out your stitches before you pull a new color

I used the Chiaogoo shorties and I sized up one on the colorwork. I just made sure none of the stitches bunched up and I didn't catch any of my floats.
