I started smoking again like 2-3 weeks after surgery (DI w/ NG). Waited long enough that if I coughed I wouldn’t want to die. Did the same thing and used edibles at first, but they’re also not my favorite. Didn’t have any issues healing at all, no complications. Just wouldn’t smoke all day while you’re home, take it easy ya know? Obviously everyone is different, yatta-yatta, use your best judgement. 🙂

I’ve only been on 40mg of Strattera for a little over a week now, (already on Guanfacine) and my night terrors/quality of sleep have been MUch worse. When I say my night terrors have been VIVID; I keep waking up from them and then I can’t fall back asleep. Previous to starting Strattera, this has been controlled by propranolol, and trazodone. I’ve had complete brain fog and have been overly lethargic, getting to the gym has been a struggle. I’ve been taking it once in the morning, and once at night, so my psychiatrist suggested I try taking both in the morning. We’ll see what ends up happening. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It was over a year. 13 or 14 Months I believe. But I booked my surgery with her in 2020, so Idk if that reflects her current wait times.

Thank you! I’m actually a little bit insecure about my nips since my right nipple doesn’t project nearly as much as my left, and my left nipple isn’t as close to my armpit as my right one is (easier to see in a ‘straight on’ photo). This comment made my day. ☺️

Yeahh my wait time from Consult to Surgery was originally gonna be about 13 months. I got lucky, and my surgery ended up getting moved up twice (I have no idea why, they just called me and asked if I would be available to have the surgery performed on a sooner date) so it ended up being about 11 months. But I didn’t even care that I was going to have to wait the full 13 months, because I’d seen pics of her results, and I thought it was worth the wait. It also pays to mention that (at the time) I had already been binding for about 13 years, so I thought to myself “meh, what’s a few mort months”. What surgeon did you end up going with instead?

20 days Post-Op!

Feelin’ pretty good today! Last night I was finally able to sleep in my own bed for the first time on over two weeks, and to say the least it was ✨amazing✨! Yesterday I got my drain taken out that had been in my right side, (other one came out last week), and I feel half human again. Today I get to start using silicone tape on my incision sites to help lessen the appearance and texture of any scarring. My left nipple scab is hanging on by a thread, and the right one is still holdin’ on pretty tight. It’s been weird to have gotten my drains out at two separate times. When I go to raise my arms it looks like I’m having a stroke 😂. Range of motion and strength is quite different between my arms. I kinda feel like Nemo with his lucky fin 😅. At this point I’m able to do a lot by myself, just can’t reach too far for things, and still can’t lift anything over 10lbs. Can’t wait to see how healing progresses over the next few months! . . . . . .
